I currently have a red heeler mutt and he is my best friend and adventure partner. He and I hike, swim, and even go canyoneering together. I’ve had him since he was a puppy chewing and eating his leash to now, where he doesn’t need one. He is the perfect trained trail dog. Growing up I was a dog sitter in my home town and had recurring clients because their dogs (and sometimes cats) loved me. I’m a hard worker but never forget to find time for my dog. He and I have gone to the Incline in Colorado Springs, as well as riding atvs up the continental divide. (He rides on the back) I believe if dogs were meant to stay at home and guard the house, they’d be lazy and hate being outside. They should expirence things with us
