YOUR DOG’s HOME Away From Home!

Pet care experience

*Dog Lover *Home Full Time *Large Fenced Yard that dog’s love to run around & explore. I am an absolute dog lover, at home full-time, with a large and secure fenced backyard. There is plenty of room for dogs to run around and play outside, as well as, a doggy-door for easy access in and out of the house. A brief stroll through my neighborhood leads to Paradise Valley Park for extended walks and a visit to the dog park if your pet is feeling social. I also have a pool for water loving dogs to cool off in when the weather is right and there are several desert mountain hiking trails nearby for the more adventurous types. I love hiking, so if you want your pet to receive that type of exccercise, I will eagerly abide. I live in a quiet neighborhood just 1 minute off of the exit ramp of the 51 FWY and Bell Rd. I was raised with Golden Retrievers and Chocolate Labs here in Arizona as a youngster and now I have over 20 years of experience in owning and handling my own dogs as an adult. Most recenlty I had two Bullmastiffs, a brother and sister duo Oliver and Lola and I also had an American Bulldog known as The Snoopdogg. Oliver, a brindle, was the sweetest, biggest (150 lbs.) laziest dog ever. He had zero interest in toys or playing fetch. Happy-go-lucky and stuborn are two good descriptive words for Oliver. All he wanted to do was eat, lay in th sun out back or on his dog bed by the front doors so he could watch the neighborhood cats play. Every once in a while on an extremely hot day Oliver would go for a swim. His sister Lola, a fawn, (107 lbs.) was quite active for her large size and the protective one in the house. She demanded attention at all times and barked at anybody that appeared in her line of sight from the front doors. The Snoopdogg, solid white, (87lbs.) was infatuated with his ball, loved water and getting into the pool and he also enjoyed long desert hikes. The Snoopdogg was absolutley one of the smartest and most well behaved dog's I've ever known. Actually, I am not even sure he was a dog, and he definitely did not think he was one either. He basically thought of himself as an odd shaped human. His ability to understand an extremely large vocabulary furthered this sentiment. The Snoopdogg required almost zero discipline. He just seemed to get it. I could walk him anywhere off of a leash and he wouldn't leave my side even if a rabbit darted out from the bushes or another dog was approaching. He was a very special dog with extreme intelligence. He just wanted to be treated like a person and he was. He even had his own recliner. All three dogs, Oliver, Lola and The Snoopdogg were amazing animals and very much a part of our family. Each one had its own unique personality. Bully breeds often only live to 8-12 years. Lola and the Snoopdogg were both 12 when it was time to say goodbye and Oliver was 9. It has been almost a year now since saying goodbye to Lola, who was the last surviving dog of the three. Although I miss them all dearly, I am not quite ready to replace them just yet. I am however definitely missing the very special companionship, love and joy that dogs so often provide to us all. Their abiltiy to be beyond excited to see you each and every day no matter what is going on in the human world is one of my favorite aspects of owning dogs and/or watching other people’s dogs. I would love to provide a comfortable and spacious place for your pet(s) to enjoy and feel right at home while you are away. I am currently home full-time so I can definitely provide that extra special attention, excercise and care throughout the entire day and/or overnight stay. If you have any specific discipline requirements, such as, your pet not being allowed on the furniture or not being given any people food or anything else you consider to be important, just let me know. With the correct information, I will be able to follow your lead, and do my best to maintain your animals behavior so it will remain consistent. I am willing to host MOST dogs—as long as they are HOUSEBROKEN and NON-AGGRESSIVE. Hope to hear from you soon. Until then... Cheers!

He is the BEST sitter you will ever find. Ryan made sure Nulfo was not feeling home sick or had separation anxiety while we were away for an entire week. I cannot thank him enough, not only he kept Nulfo active but he treated our Boxer as if he was his own. Every morning I woke up to an update on how our baby was doing, very detailed and accurate to his normal behavior. Our trip would have not been the same if it wasn't for Ryan. The peace of mind Ryan gave us made us enjoy our time away and be sure our baby was being taken care in the best way possible

Ryan was nice enough to watch our 15 month old bernedoodle for us this past weekend and I honestly feel she was so well taken care of. We are extremely thankful to him and his wife for treating our pup as their own while we were out of town. Their care was apparent from the time we dropped Bodhi off to the time we picked her up. Ryan took her on walks, has a big beautiful back yard that she would play in, and allowed her to dip her toes in the pool. We loved the daily updates and photos to allow us to know Bodhi was doing well so that we could relax and enjoy our trip. I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone in need of someone to care for their dog when they are away!

Absolutely wonderful!! My family and I went on a 2 week vacation to Florida and decided to have Ryan watch our 2 dogs. Ryan was very accommodating and made us feel very comfortable leaving a part of our family behind. We received daily updates with photos of their time there! With a huge grassy backyard, doggy door and lots of cuddles our dogs were on their own vacation while we were away. I would 100% use Ryan again. Our dogs are a part of our family and knowing they were well taken care of and treated like a part of his family was wonderful knowing.

A typical day

We have a large fenced yard for dogs to run and play. We live near Paradise Valley Park for long walks or a visit to the dog park. Hiking trails in the desert are just a few miles away. When the weather is right, if your dog likes to swim, we have a pool. Also, if you would like your dog to learn to swim and/or be more comfortable in and around water, I am also willing to train.
