I grew up in a household where we always had dogs, starting with my parents' first dog LeBeau (a French poodle) who lived to be 17 1/2!!! When he passed away we then got Elvis, a Lhasa Apso/Maltese mix who is currently 16, and we adopted his brother Ziggy about 6 years ago - a rescue from the FUPI organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. My mom has been a foster parent for rescue animals for close to 10 years now so we've always had multiple dogs in our house at all times, and my fiancee (who lives with me here in Irvine) is also a sitter with Rover for around 3 months now. Two years ago, I had a dog of my own as well, a Jack Russell/Norfolk terrier mix named Finnegan who now lives with another couple because my work required me to travel outside of the country for the past two years and he became so adapted to that house that I didn't want to take him out of that environment. I miss him everyday!!! I'm a very active person, I run about 20 miles a week on average and I practice yoga 5-6 days a week. I am a young professional in the outside sales field so I am driving around a lot for work, but I also work from home so I have more than enough time to take care of other peoples' pets and it gives me some company without adopting one of my own (which is in the works)!!!
