Pet care experience
I've grown up around dogs my whole life. In high school, I became a volunteer dog walker at an animal shelter and continued through college and post-graduation, volunteering at the Cleveland APL for several years. Those years of experience walking hundreds of different dogs, who all have unique pasts, preferences, comfort levels, and physical abilities, has engrained in me the ability to read a dog's behavior and understand their need, making me adept at caring for and handling any dog. I pride myself on my passion for enriching the lives of the dogs I work with by catering my care to each dog's needs and making our time together fun, rejuvenating, and safe.

OMG Ryan was soooooo AWESOME with Melo. I know for sure Melo has a new friend. It’s always scary in the beginning with a new sitter and your fur baby, but he followed up with me every step of the way and that put me at ease. I would highly recommend Ryan to anyone but just not on the days we need him🤣

Guaranteeing the safety of the pets I care for is incredibly important to me, as well as respecting any instructions or expectations you have for how I care for your pet. When I'm at your house, I make sure your pet is secure by leashing up before leaving the house and/or making sure fence gates are closed before letting your pet in your yard off-leash. If I notice anything out of the ordinary inside or outside the house, I will immediately reach out to you with any questions or concerns I have and ensure there are no health or safety concerns for your pet. And of course, when I leave, I always make sure your pet is comfortable and happier than when I found them!

Please let me know of any special physical or behavioral needs (diet, medications, daily enrichment activities) your dog has ahead of time so that I can make sure I can best accommodate your needs. Additionally, I would love to know if your pet has any behavioral triggers that may cause them to become aggressive, afraid, or misbehave. That way I can do my best to ensure we don't run into issues during our time together. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to working together!
A typical day
I love to stimulate dogs in the way that suits their needs, whether that means stopping to sniff all the sniffs on a walk together or throwing a ball for 30 minutes straight to help them get out their pent-up energy. On top of this, I love to help keep dogs up-to-date on their training by practicing any commands they know or trying to teach them new basic commands they don't know.

Availability
I work full-time, but I work remotely and have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to get away from my desk for chunks of time during the day as needed. To this end, I can be available morning, day, or night, and I'm open to working with you to make a schedule that meets your needs.
