I am not a dog watcher I am a CPDT,CABC,CDBC. I charge by the Hour for behavioral consulting. I observe your dog's behavior and give you a written evaluation with a structured plan to resolve your problems. I have the skills and education beyond a person who just loves animals yet has failed to educate themselves in animal behavior. Sorry, that is just not enough. I only take one client during any period because I will be constantly engaging with your dog and making sure they are safe, and addressing issues of reactivity, socialization, meet and greet, fairplay and resource guarding. If that is what you do not desire,do not choose me, as I screen every client who calls. I will apply positive dog training using the teachings of great behaviorists such as Patricia McConnell PH.D, Pat Miller, Ian Dunbar, Jean Donaldson and many other leaders in positive training methods and reading dog signals. I have crates available mostly for feeding. I am located next to LAX airport for easy pickup and returns from your trips. You may park in my driveway when flying out of LAX this relieving the cost of airport parking. I am not trying to compete with large dog care centers as my services are superior and exclusive to clients who want personalized care with behavioral observation throughout the stay. In addition, only one client will be booked at a time for the maximum attention required to my standards (however one client may have more than one dog). In rare exceptions, I will consider more than one client at a time but only with a consultation of all parties. Some services may overlap as with day care and boarding. I cater to your dog's needs as well as the owner's concerns. Aggressive dogs may be boarded only with initial work and meeting with my professional dog trainer/behaviorist. This is due to liability and common sense. I will use experience in animal behavior to gain insight into your dog. If you like I will apply positive reinforcement training using treats or other motivational tools to keep your pet engaged and happy. It will be your choice of night crating ,dog bed or with Kiva (my Great Dane) depending on what you want and what is appropriate (bringing your own dog's bed is a great idea). Kiva is a wonderful companion that gets along with every dog I have encountered. I am home all day and I take it seriously as an independent contractor for Rover. I can go to the El Segundo dog park every day and if your dog is ready. I go almost every day and know all the regulars and meet new people consistently. My yard is completely enclosed in both front and back with locking gates. El Segundo is a great neighborhood with many places to walk and play, including large grass parks and unused grass areas for solo walks. I know many spots for exercise depending on your desires. More than just boarding also included is play with others in a safe environment. I use high value treats to start the bonding process. An initial consultation is necessary to assess your dog's needs. I realize your dog is very important and the best safest care is my main concern. I will utilize play and mild training and exercise to ease your companions stay away from home. This can be extremely effective in reducing stress. Your dog will be under care using your diet and regular routine if you request and it is available. I use Taste of the Wild for Kiva. All special needs will be addressed before care. I will post pictures of the stay on rover app as well as Instagram as " Play and Stay Dogs."viewing. I have slip leads, crates, beds, bowls, a doggy pool and many toys. Your loved one will come home happy and fulfilled. In case of emergency I am a few hundred yards from my vet.
