Pet care experience
I started Dogsitting in 2021 after losing my 12 year old golden lab mix, Louie. I was heartbroken, but dogsitting helped. I recently adopted an 11 month old golden retriever (Baxter) from a family who had to rehome him due to allergies. I took a break from dogsitting while I got to know this new guy. He’s amazing and gets along with all dogs so I’m ready to start dogsitting again. My family always had dogs growing up, and I have had two dogs of my own over the past 20+ years - Baxter is my third. I have a network of friends that we always dog sit for each other - So I am very used to taking care of other people’s dogs & I’m totally aware that every dog is a bit different... whether it’s when they eat, the way they eat, medicine or the way they like to play, etc. I know how important it is to trust and feel comfortable with whomever you choose to watch your pup. Mine is like my child.

Ruthie was excellent with my dog! He tends to get a little anxious with new people but he loved her and she took great care of him! He's a very energetic dog and she took him on walks and played with him as well as let him roam around freely. She did a wonderful job at making him feel comfortable and loved him. I was so at ease knowing he was very well taken care of. She sent pictures and kept me updated throughout our trip. I would definitely recommend her and would go back to her next time.
Ms. Ruthie was awesome ! She took great care of our pup Teco. He came home happy and exhausted. Thank you Ms. Ruthie for the ?❤️ and the pupsicles were a hit !
We were anxious about leaving our senior dog , but Ruthie was fantastic with him . She sent pictures and updates , and took him for walks ! He looked so happy and healthy when we picked him up , actually he didn’t even seem to miss us ! You won’t regret leaving your dog with Ruthie . She’s a gem !

Let me know if there’s any special accommodations needed. I’m comfortable with medications and the tricks you have to play sometimes to get your pup to take it.If you have a senior dog, I’m used to that as well .
A typical day
I love to be active so definitely thrilled to provide daily walks and lots of playtime! If you have a senior dog, I’m used to that as well and realize they may need shorter walks and less play time.
