Would not recommend until this sitter can learn the importance of responsibility and accountability. My pet was left alone for 12+ hours (longer perhaps) when my sitter lost my key, resulting in me having to cut my vacation short. I’m thankful I was only 2hrs away, had I been out of state I couldn’t imagine what would have happened. I have no family in the area as I am here temporarily for work, so you can imagine how upsetting this was for us. I specifically booked house sitting as I just lost my other dog of 13 years and knew it was a stressful time to leave my pet alone. I met with Ruthie in person to go over that and stress the importance of why I wanted her to stay overnight with my dog. I was extremely disappointed in this experience, I’ve used Rover several times in the past and have had wonderful experiences. If there can be one lesson I’d like this sitter to learn is responsibility. I understand things happen and we are all human but I was more upset to learn my pet was left alone and I wasn’t notified immediately of the lock out, she reached out next day.
