Pet care experience
Having had dogs all my life, I am an experienced dog owner and certified dog lover. I love to be active and I currently take my dog (a very friendly 20 lb. Aussiedoodle named Jake) on long walks/runs and make sure he gets to the park 3-4 days a week. The dog park is my favorite place in the world. My dog Jake and I would love a pup companion during our playtime. I work regular hours near my home and often take my dog out during breaks in the day. My apartment is ground level and near the door to go outside so it is a really easy in and out. My mom also walks him during the day several times per week. If your pup isn't comfortable with other dogs, my dog does regularly stay at my parents' or sister's place, too. I am flexible with my schedule and accommodations. Mostly, I just love dogs and want to be around them all the time. I look forward to meeting you and your pup!

Ruth was an outstanding dog caregiver for 9 days in our home with our 3 dogs! Our dogs loved Jake (Ruth's dog) and Ruth. She took beautiful care of our beloved canines while we were traveling abroad, and kept us well informed with how they were doing. I highly recommend Ruth for any dog care; also because she clearly loves dogs and she's a fantastic person!
Ruth was great -- from the moment I first contacted her until I picked up my dog, Bailey! She was easy to communicate with and very responsive. I had no worries about Bailey's care. Having her watch Bailey was as delightful as the vaction I was on while he stayed with her.
Wonderful experience! Ruth was able to accommodate a late notice change in our travel schedule which was greatly appreciated.

No breed preferences, though I'd prefer dogs under 40 lb to stay at my place. I'd like to know about any restrictions in activity, fears, general temperament information, medications, dietary restrictions, etc. I'd also like to know whether your dog is ok with other dogs, as I can easily hand Jake off to a family member but I'd need to give them a heads up. He is very friendly though and would love the company of another pup.
A typical day
We'd go on walks around the neighborhood. I am near the Mississippi River and love to go down to Crosby Park to walk. There are also a bunch of great fenced dog parks nearby including the Minnehaha park, where I love to go. I have plenty of toys and chews at my place and my dog absolutely loves to play with other dogs as well.
