Excited to make fluffy friends :)
Pet care experience
About The Host: Hey! I’m Ruth :) Throughout my life there has always been a fluffy friend. I grew up having a plethora of dogs - mostly bully breeds - As a teenager I started volunteering as a dog walker for this shelter in my old neighborhood. Which then led to me walking/caring for some of my neighbors dogs and working for a company. The amount of exposure I received as a child and dog walker made me extremely comfortable with all dog breeds. Once crossing over the Hudson River and making Lower Manhattan my home; I found myself pet sitting more. If I’m not hosting a fluffy friend in my home then you’ll be able to find me somewhere in Brooklyn caring for a dog, cat, and home haha! I should also add that I am currently a full time student! so I make sure to make my study breaks extra fun with fluffy friends by going on walks, having a play session, training sessions ( to build a bond), maybe a quick snuggling fest…who knows! About Fluffy Host - Sophia - Sophia is a silly, sweet, drama queen. She does well with all types of dogs but I have realized she gets anxious/stressed when they are TOO energetic and can’t respect her boundaries. Even though she’s silly and likes to have fun, she also needs her time to unwind. Sophia also loves cats! and I’m convinced she was a cat in her past life. Home Rules: - Have fun - Be silly - Can lounge on couch - Barks are allowed - Sassy behavior is accepted - No destructive behavior - No bullying fluffy host Things to let me know before stay: - If dog is food aggressive - If dog is destructive - Any triggers while on walks - If dog has separation anxiety - If dog will be taking medication (I only have experience with oral medication) Things to bring: - poop bags - Enough food for the stay - Toys: if your dog is DESTRUCTIVE - Pee pads (if needed) - Crate (if needed) - Treats - Bed If you made it this far, Thank You! Sophia and I hope to meet you soon :)
Reviews
Much appreciation for Ruth! She was incredibly hands on and responsive with caring for Mugsy & Dottie. Supplying pictures & videos of all the fun & comfort our pups had while in her care. Sophia is their new furry beastie!
Ruth watched our 5 months old puppy, Willow when me and my partner are away for a 5 day vacation. She was super attentive and patient with all of Willow’s needs, whether it’s frequent potty breaks or her medication (mind you, she isn’t house trained just yet). We got lots of updates and photos throughout her stay, which really give us a peace of mind. Willow seemed really happy when we picked her up! Would definitely have Ruth watch our baby girl the next time we’re away!
Ruth did a great job keeping me updated about Teddy. She was also accommodating about him not finishing his food while he was in her care and saved it for me for when he returned home. Thank you, Ruth!
Thank you Ruth! Pelican loved playin. And was pooped after!

I treat every animal with compassion and patience. If bad behavior starts creeping in I do become more stern and bring out the treats because bad behavior means some training needs to take happen.
