Pet care experience
I grew up in a multi pet family (dogs and cats). As I got older, I took more responsibility for caring for my family’s pets. Last summer, I did several at home, overnight, several day dog sittings in my home town in Ohio. From these experiences, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, nervous dogs, and dogs that require you to give them medication! Additionally, I am a certified volunteer at the humane society which required about 10 hours of training. I helped out at the closest shelter to me for about 2 1/2 years.
Reviews
Ruth door such a nice job taking care of our dog Harlow. Harlow has some separation anxiety and is timid with new people. She took to Ruth right away and was at ease while we were away.
Ruth put my mind at ease knowing my two pups were in excellent hands. We were able to enjoy our weekend away. I highly recommend Ruth. She is incredibly thorough.
Great communication, had a pre-visit to meet our dog, will definitely book again.
Ruth did a fantastic job watching our dog. She provided us with daily updates and photos.

I would be unable to bring your pet to my dorm room as pets are not allowed in our rooms. However, I would be happy to bring them on campus for an adventure! In your own home, I’ll follow any instructions you leave to make sure your pet feels as comfortable as possible which could range from them sleeping in a bed with me or taking them for a midday walk.

Availability
Currently, I am chemistry major at St. Olaf college. This summer, I will be on campus doing undergraduate research. I will be mostly on my own schedule and would be able to leave the lab to come visit your pet and take care of them! I am comfortable staying with your pet at your house where I would take care of them in the morning before I leave, visit during the day, and then be done working around 5. I will also be free on weekends.
