Pet care experience
I’ve had rescue dogs and cats all my life so have lots of varied experience with pet care, including anxious & reactive animals, puppies and kittens, and dogs with special care needs. I was a member of Borrowmydoggy for five years whilst renting (so unable to have my own dog) and made some absolutely gorgeous doggy (and human!) friends. Lastly I have a corso x mastiff of my own at home so have experience with giant and strong breeds!
Reviews
Ruth is a reliable and caring person. She has had charge of our family staffie off and on for a number of years. She is friendly and firm in equal measure and helps the dogs to have fun and to behave appropriately. She has her own Mastiff which is a fine example of a cared for canine.

If pet sitting in your home I will treat it as if it were my own; that is, with the utmost care and respect. I would expect to have a conversation prior to sitting for you regarding your pets routines, habits, needs, as well as taking details for your vets or other emergency contacts. This would also apply if I am just walking your dog- I’d like to know about their behaviours, any ongoing training, and any pertinent medical information. I’m unable to take pets into my own home unless we’re able to do a meet and greet first with my own dog, who is a giant mastiff! He loves making new doggy friends but is quite unaware of his own size and strength.

Availability
I work as a chef so my schedule is very irregular, I usually have 2 or 3 days off in a week and if these fit in with short notice bookings I’ll be happy to accommodate. If you’re able to give me 2 weeks notice for bookings I can arrange my work schedule around it though :)
