BY YOUR RULES & THE GOLDEN RULE
Pet care experience
Hi. My name is Bee, and I now call Santa Barbara home. I’ve been pet and house sitting for the past 8 years, and I’m eager to meet you and your furry family members. I treat your pets and your home as I'd want you to treat mine. I’m a responsible professional woman who spent over 40 years providing therapy to people of all ages with communication and cognitive challenges. Now I get to nurture, cuddle and play with four-footed kids. I have experience giving injections to cats, but haven’t yet had a canine client who required them. My experience with dogs and cats goes back to my days in elementary school. Some of my dogs have lived to the ripe old age of 17. Many were rescues. Over the years, I’ve also had horses, calves, rabbits, and assorted gerbils and fish. I no longer have a pet of my own, but I get to enjoy my two grand doggies, Molly and Abby. Since 2014 I've been caring for pets, homes and plants of other folks. I do limit the size of dogs to about 25 pounds—important in case of emergencies). My clients adore the cute photos and videos I send to keep them connected while they're away. And many clients have become regulars. Let’s meet to see whether we’re a good fit. I'm now an author and speaker and have a very flexible schedule. So I'm available for short- or long-term stays in your home. Some of my clients have traveled to other parts of the world for a month or two at a time. I’m not available for drop-in visits. Your little buddies can relax and feel at home during your absence because they ARE at home--in their familiar surroundings and with their familiar routine intact.
Reviews
Bee was a very communicative and conscientious house and pet sitter. She took great care of our two dogs and left the house exactly the way she found it. She also sent us photos of the dogs and let us know how they were doing which we loved because we really missed them! We are so happy that we found Bee. We will ask for her help again in the future and we highly recommend her!
Bee is an exceptional dog/house sitter. She took notes on what she needed to do and then was very conscientious in doing those things. I know the dogs got lots of attention and love. They went on walks almost daily which they love! She took good care of the house/garden as well. I give Bee my highest recommendation!
Bee is the most thoughtful and thorough house sitter you could ever ask for! She definitely went way beyond the basics, as well as sending us pictures and updates on a daily basis until our return. The house was exactly as we left it (that's kind of her motto). Great house sitter!
Bee is the best! We have two Maine Coon cats (our Boys) and were looking for someone who would care for them as we would when away. Bee was very caring, spent time with them and texted us updates and pictures/ videos as requested. I showed her how to give our big boy insulin shots twice per day, stopping by twice prior to our last trip to practice. All went perfectly - no issues. Bee gave us peace of mind at a reasonable rate - we highly recommend!

Information Rubye "Bee" B. would like to know about your pet
Pets have to rely on their humans to do the right thing. So I want to know as much as possible about their likes and dislikes, fears, favorites, behaviors, and baseline health indicators. Are there any medications? Injections required? Please note that I’m not trained or equipped to care for aggressive animals.
A typical day
Do your pets like games of chase, fetch and tug-of-war? Do they like walks in a safe protected place? All the above can be part of our day, or we can just brush and cuddle and have calm, quiet days if that’s preferred. But - if your buddy needs super high energy activities then I’ll bet you’ll find a younger sitter who’s the perfect fit.
