Unfortunately, I'm unable to do zero stars. We booked Roxann for the night of our wedding to take care of our cats and dogs. We have a diabetic cat and he requires insulin 2x a day which was talked about and reviewed in a meet and greet we had completed virtually. Roxann had assured us she was comfortable using an insulin pen so we thought that this would be a good fit. While we were trying to enjoy our reception and speeches from friends, Roxann was struggling to get into our house using the code provided for our lockbox. My husband and I had to spend 20 minutes on the phone with her and then ended up calling a neighbor (Thank God we knew our neighbor's cell phone number!) to walk over and help her unlock the box. Turns out she just wasn't pushing a specific button on the lock box to open it. Then we think everything is taken care of, but then we receive a phone call and text about the insulin for Foxy. While using the pen (he requires a Lantus Solostar pen which has the instructions on the pen to use as well as the box with the pen caps), Roxann said that the insulin wouldn't come out. After trying to walk her through the process several times and being unsuccessful, we agreed that she should just not insulate him because a real fear is for him to get too much insulin and become hypoglycemic. Overall, we ended up spending about 30 minutes of our wedding night on the phone away from our guests and family that we only had about 4 hours with since many of them came from out of town and had early flights out the next day. Lastly, the next day when going to insulate Foxy, we put the pen cap on his insulin pen and as soon as the needle punctured, insulin sprayed out of it. The insulin pen would not work to be adjusted and used properly. This was infuriating!! These insulin pens are extremely expensive and can not be bought individually. Thankfully we had one last pen in our pack, but now we have to wait for a prescription and budget for the more than $500 it will cost to purchase another box of 5 pens two months early. I had only opened the pen that she damaged two weeks ago! Had we not had the extra, my cat could become hyperglycemic and get sick with seizures without his insulin. What was supposed to be the most amazing night of our lives ended with us ending up having to ask family to go and check on our pets because we were worried about their well being and stressing out, questioning whether we should cancel our wedding night hotel and just go home or if they would be ok. Thankfully our family was able to help us with this.
