Pet care experience
Hi there! I’m Rowena and I can’t wait to meet you and your pets! I grew up around family dogs from small to large and was always the first point of contact for friends and family that needed overnight care or quick stays for their pets. I've helped care for guinea pigs and hamsters as well and know that they require just as much attention as our four legged babies. Being a cat owner myself, I definitely have all the experience in terms of cat care. My boy's consistent health and happiness is actually what motivates me to take care of other people's fur babies- what I want for mine, I want for yours! With me, your fur babies get my full attention and care, until you're back to give them your own ❤️

Rowena did a fantastic job looking after my dog Maru while I was out of town! I feed my dog a partial raw food diet and Rowena went above and beyond ensuring that my dog was fed according to her normal schedule. Aside from their walk and potty breaks, Rowena gave Maru lots of love and scratches while I was out of town. Thanks Rowena!

I do have my own cat at home, so any overnight care will need to be done in your home, which is definitely not a problem for me especially on the weekends. Pets are like our family members, and your pets will be the center of my care! All I ask is that your pets are up to date on their rabies shots and are current on flea medication so I do not take anything back home to my pet. I will not take dogs to the dog parks unless instructed to. I will not allow interactions with other dogs/pets unless you allow me to. I do not mind wearing a mask, just give me a heads up with your preference! I always want to keep you updated and will send picture/text updates every 30 min-1 hour, or as often as you want! If you need space, require quiet time for meetings, etc, I can give you updates at specific times as well.

A typical day
I love playing with dogs and taking them on long walks to get them tired and making sure they get their exercise :) It’s always fun to see what each pupper gets excited about when we get to the park or when we play with their favorite toys. *I will only take your dog to dog parks upon instruction. If your pets are more relaxed and indoor only, I love to cuddle and watch tv with them as well. I definitely will make good conversation with them lol.

Availability
I work from home Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, which are definitely the best days to be home! Because I work from home but my job does require attention to detail and some meetings, my time on these days are limited until I am fully off. Care on these days can be in home, so long as there are times in between that I can also work. My lunch breaks are 30 min to an hour long and I love to get out at this time, so it's perfect for walks and playtime with your pets. Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays in the morning and midday are best for quick walks and check ins. We can discuss this at full length upon meeting and I have definitely made things work around clients' schedules! My weekends are typically free/open as long as scheduled with good notice! I can be at your home overnight starting Friday night through Sunday night/Monday morning. If you're not comfortable with someone staying in your home, completely understandable- I can do back and forth drop ins as well! Please provide clear instructions on locking up/which areas of your home are restricted, etc.
