Pet care experience
I have had pets my entire life, including cats, big and small dogs, multiple small mammals, birds and fish. I currently live with five cats and two small dogs, and I love every one of them immeasurably. I have worked for the local animal shelter, volunteered at multiple rescues, and worked for a pet crematorium for a period of time. I am currently working nights at a funeral home. In the daytime I am entirely devoted to my pets' care and the care of any pets that come my way, and I love every animal I meet with the same intensity that I love my own.

Rowan did a wonderful job taking care of my pets with drop in visits. She reached out with any questions and we enjoyed seeing their pictures. I will definitely be using her for pet sitting in the future!
Rowan is the most understanding, trustworthy person I know. She has so much experience caring for animals, from owning and fostering her own and spending so much time caring for other people's. Every day she surprises me with how thoughtful she is, always willing to consider other people's thoughts and feelings and learn new experiences. She's exceptional when it comes to caring not just about the animals in her life, but the people too. If you want someone who will know how to read your pet's needs and know how to ask questions when needed, I cannot recommend Rowan enough.
Rowan has been pet sitting for me for years and is the only person I trust to care for my pets when I am out of town. They absolutely love her.

I live in a single family home with a fenced yard, with seven pets - five cats and two small friendly dogs. The cats have a space of their own the dogs cannot access and the small dogs primarily stay upstairs or with me through the day. Any pets in my care will remain in the downstairs area and have access to the backyard at regular intervals. In a client's home, I adhere to the guidelines and expectations set for me by the client themselves. I am a mature, quiet person who is more than happy to sit with a pet and keep them company, or take them on a good walk to burn off their bountiful energy.

Let me know ahead of time if your dog has special needs, medication schedules or anything else that needs to be adhered to. It is extremely important that your dog is dog-friendly as there are small dogs who live with me. Please let me know if they are cat-aggressive so that my cats can be put away for the duration of their stay (not that it will stop the ones who don't fear dogs!)
A typical day
I live close to an elementary school, so a day with me would have to involve a trip to the fields to play! If the rain's out and about, we'll skip the mud and just hit up some puddles on our walks around the neighborhood. I do this full time so my entire world is your pets, and when we're home we will hang out and play together and cuddle in front of the warm fire on the couch. Any meal times will be handled in the kitchen, and there will be plenty of treats to be shared!

Availability
I am currently working nights and so in the daytime I am available to assist with pet care and your pet needs. I can assist with short-notice situations and am able to drive to your location as well. I do not live alone so there are other hands on deck if a situation arises.
