Dog whisperer? I prefer empathizer
I have had dogs within my family home my entire life (dachshund, cavalier king charles spaniel, chihuahua/Pomeranians, golden retrievers, blue heelers, border collies, chow, I feel like I have seen it all). As I grew up I went from a casual dog lover to someone who tried my best to understand my dogs' needs. Upon adopting the first dog of my own, I gravitated to more reactive and higher behavioral need pups. I found I could relate to these dogs and give them a safe space to build trust. I now have 3 dogs, who are all adopted and fearful in some way. I try my best to provide a steady approach to meeting and working with any dog I am with. So whether it is my sister's people-loving golden retrievers, my mom's tiny chihuahua puppy, or my fearful herding dogs, I find that dogs tend to warm up to me fairly quickly since I want to show them respect first and show I will approach them on their terms. In addition to everything above, I have helped to train multiple of the dogs within my family. Whether it is crate training for a puppy, working on separation anxiety for rescues, or finding the type of toy the dog like to play fetch with the most, I enjoy working with dogs in all of these ways.

Safety, trust & environment
At home, I need to care for each of my 3 dogs in different ways. Two of them can be free in the house when we are out, and one needs to be crated. With that said I can work with each of your dogs in whatever way your dog is used to, or I can help train your dog if you need help with that. When outside, I will keep your dog on a leash unless I am in a fenced yard.

Ross is simply great! He took some time out of his weekend to meet up with Dixie & I for a meet and greet so that he could become acquainted with her and assess how to best care for her during their scheduled walks. He really does care and it truly shows!

Ross is a natural dog whisperer and has a gift for taking care of animals. He has watched over our two Golden Retrievers multiple times, and we feel incredibly comfortable and at-ease knowing that they are in such good hands. Although he's never trained dogs professionally, our pups always seemed to have learned something after even short stays with Ross! He's responsible, trustworthy, and present with our pets, always giving them tons of attention, exercise, and play. We would recommend Ross to anybody looking for superior pet care and peace of mind when it's time to leave the furry friends at home!
Our dogs loved Ross and we always trusted him to care for them when we were away. He has a calm energy that made them feel calm and safe as well and eager to obey. He is very attuned to dog behavior as being different and unique compared to human behavior. We have called him for advice with our current puppy as he has a good understanding of many dog training techniques.
Ross watches my cat every time I’m out of time. He takes the time to build a relationship with my cat (which we all know is hard to do with our feline friends), so that she is comfortable enough to play during his visit. He checks on her litter, makes sure she has enough food and drink, and makes sure she gets all the love she needs. I have friends who also have dogs and he’s great with them as well and is patient even for dogs that are apprehensive. Not sure how he is with birds but if it’s anything like cats or dogs, then he’ll be great with them too!

Schedule
