I work remotely and have flexibility for morning and evening walks, as well as daytime cuddles and play breaks. I coordinate with clients to ensure pet care is continuous, even if a return flight is delayed.

Safety, trust & environment
I gather as much information as possible about an animal's routine, preferences, play styles or favorite games, and emotional and physical needs. I keep my client updated with photos and messages about their animal at the frequency they prefer, so they feel comfortable and confident that their animal is safe and happy.
Information Rosie A. would like to know about your pet
At our meet and greet, I will generally ask about any healthcare condition(s), how you are managing them (such as special diets, medication and any side effects), timing and dosage for any medications, and vet and emergency contact. It's also helpful to know of any behaviors that may need sitter management, such as strong leash pulling or reactivity when seeing other dogs (this is super common, no worries!) or needing reminders/treat bribery to drink water.
A typical day
I look to pet parents for pointers, since each animal is individual. For active dogs, exercise may include a long walk--or two--a day. For senior pups, we may stick to a short walk, a sniffing walk, or play in the yard. For shepherding breeds, we may do a command routine with treats, and for cats, chasing feather wands. While I'm working, pets may snuggle on my feet or lap. If house rules allow, pets may come snuggle with me for the night.

Pet care experience
I'm a quiet, mature professional who works from clients' homes during the day and loves spending quiet evenings with pets. I'm an especially good fit for animals who are used to lots of companionship, including those with retired or remote-working families. I prioritize prompt communication, regular photo updates, and a smooth, stress-free experience from booking through the end of your stay. I'm a non-smoker, don't drink, and take pride in leaving your home as clean—or cleaner—than I found it. I have seven years of experience with large dogs (including handling them on walks) and 2½ years of professional pet sitting experience with dogs, cats, and other animals. I've cared for pets with mobility challenges, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, chronic health conditions, and I especially enjoy caring for senior pets. For walks and drop-in visits, I offer a 15–20 minute video meet-and-greet before your first booking. I'm also happy to answer any questions by message!

Reviews

Rosie did a wonderful job looking after our senior dog and our cat. Our dog has some extra challenges around his digestion and activity and she handled everything smoothly and with excellent communication. We came home to an immaculate house and happy pets.

This was our second time using Rosie and it went just as well! Everything was great and we're looking forward to having her back in the future.

Rosie is consistent, reliable and fantastic! Our pets are always so happy and content with her. She is our “go to” every time we travel.

Rosie took fantastic care of our dogs and our home while we were out of town. She was thrown some curveballs (my girl starting her heat cycle, as well as caring for an injured toe) and took them in stride. Her communication was great, and the dogs love her. Looking forward to having her back.
