Puppy Professonal

Pet care experience

COVID-19: I currently am not accepting booking requests out of respect and caution for the people with whom I cross paths with at my main (non-Rover) occupation. The future (upcoming) appointments that have already been made will be kept unless the client wishes to cancel. I enjoy caring for dogs of all sizes and ages, ranging from the curious puppy who needs a watchful eye to the senior dog who needs close companionship and perhaps specific medical needs. All breeds and energy levels welcome. If your dog would like some exercise in addition to (or in place of) a walk, I am well-versed in tug of war, fetch, and "tag." For dogs who are not physically able to walk long distances or run about, but still want some cognitive engagement, I have devised scent games and other brain games in the past. For the mellow pups out there, or for those who want some reassurance while mom or dad are away, exclusively cuddling and quality time during walks and gentle play is A-ok. If I do regular walks and drop-ins with your dog, I can incorporate complimentary training into the 30 minute session upon request. Just let me know what skill(s) you’d like prioritized. If you are interested in enrolling your dog in regular, one-on-one training with me, we can build a schedule and skills package that is specialized to you and your dog’s needs. Additional information can be found towards the bottom of this section. Training Services Offered: With many dogs, I work on basic commands that they haven’t learned or have not completely mastered when in a more stimulating environment. These include come, sit, stay, and leave it. I also help dogs with social skills with humans (e.g. not jumping up on people, and for puppies learning to inhibit their play bite), leash manners (e.g. not pulling), and ways to play and expend energy (e.g. how to play fetch). If your dog has mastered the basics, but you want them to learn a fancy trick, I can also train that. If you are interested in private dedicated training sessions, please feel free to message me for more information and to discuss what your pup's goals are. I use positive reinforcement for training, such as small treats or toys, coupled with pets and verbal praise.

Rosemary is very fun and attentive with our puppy, she has been using the same wording and commands that we are training her to understand. We very much appreciate her professional demeanor and work ethic. Thank you for a great job, Peter S.

Information Rosemary Z. would like to know about your pet

What is your dog’s daily routine? Are there any medical conditions I should monitor? What specific words do you use for commands (e.g. “off” vs “down”)? If your dog has ever displayed aggressive tendencies towards humans (e.g. biting) or other dogs, please let me know so that we can organize a desensitation period around me (for my safety and the comfort of your dog) and so that I can appropriately keep other humans and dogs safe when we are out for walks.
