social, loving and patient pet care

Pet care experience

I have been a dog owner my whole life, the most dogs I’ve had at one time was 4! Three German Shepard's and 1 bullmastiff cross. I said goodbye to my last dog a few years ago and she lived right until 14. Me and my partner have recently gotten a puppy and growing up with always having multiple dogs I really understand the importance of keeping dogs social, unfortunately I downsized to a two bedroom flat so having two dogs full time sadly is not in the cards for us. A bit about us, my name is Rosemary (main sitter) and my other half is Chantè (assistant) we have lived in Gidea Park for 3 years now and obsessed with how dog friendly it is. I work part time and my Chanté works from home so we can be pretty flexible with timing. We are really outdoorsy people who love a good walk and not shy of having a little run with the dogs, we are also big on sniffing walks! I used to volunteer as a vet receptionist with PDSA many years ago, because of this I’m not shy with medication or any kind of shampoo skin treatment. About our dog, her name is Lilo, she’s a 9 month old staff cross who is generally really calm but when she’s excited she’s ready to play and bounce around like a goat. She’s toilet trained, mostly crate trained and is currently on a mainly raw fed diet. We walk her twice a day and would love any fury friend to join us. She has had a few play dates and also went to puppy classes, so despite her excitement at first, she’s great with other people, children and animals. We have a crate for Lilo but doesn’t mean your one needs to be, she’s also allowed on all furniture so this will be extended to guests as well as being able to go wherever they like (you let us know supervised or unsupervised) we also have loads of treats around and are constantly rewarding good behaviour, we are very big on nutritions so tend to give veg or fruit as well as high meat content treats. One interesting part about me, I haven’t just had dogs! Even though I grew up in Barking/Ilford. We had parrots, cockatoos, chickens, rabbits, cats, bearded dragon, geckos and my absolute favourite, Guinea pigs!! At one stage I had 14 Guinea pigs, all rescues, very rewarding.

Rosemary is amazing! Not only she does all the pre checks and ensure that she knows everything she needs and more about the dog, she goes above and beyond to keep you updated. Chewie had an amazing time and I am not sure if he wanted to come home! 😂 I cannot thank you enough.

I would recommend Rosemary as a dogsitter. Arlo came back from an overnight stay happy and I was updated regularly with photos and videos so I have no complaints.

I have known Rosemary for over 20 years now; Shes someone you can always rely on to help in any situation- and from a caring, genuine place always. Rosemary has always had animals around her, whether it be her own pets, rescue animals or looking after others pets, and all have been given so much love and attention at all times. She is very responsible and passionate when it comes to the safety and care of all animals. rosemary's home is also in a lovely safe location with plenty of indoor space and amazing safe outdoor locations perfect for walks! I would highly recommend her without a single doubt ! Your furr babies will always be in great hands.

We live in a two bedroom flat on the ground floor so we have lots of garden space right on our door step, it is a non closed shared garden but couldn’t say by many as no one is ever out there ha. We are very patient, understanding and huge listeners, so as well as letting all pet owners come and see our home, please don’t hesitate to ask any questions you may have either about my pet or yours. We are open to take in dogs or take dogs for walks that don’t necessarily involve our dog :)

A typical day

Weekdays to weekends are different; weekdays we walk in the morning and evenings. We do lunch time walks depending on our schedule. Throughout the day we allow for supervised alone play and stimulating play. Weekends are always FULL of attention, we always go to a forest or big park and out for a fair few hours. Depend how tired they might be we still fit in a late night walk on the weekends.

My partner works from home so we are pretty flexible on what we can do. We go for walks every morning and evening, always one longer than the other and happy to fit that around your needs. As we have Lilo, we will only take on 1 dog at a time.
