Pet care experience
My name is Rosemary and I’m a friendly stay-at-home dog lover, in need of new furry friends! We go outside every two hours for potty breaks and to run around the yard. Dogs are not left outside for extended periods of time without supervision. Tug of war and fetch are crowd favorites, but I also enjoy teaching dogs tricks. I've had Miles, my pit bull, since he was four weeks old, and he LOVES learning new tricks and working for those treats! Our middle/medium-sized dog, Calliope, was a rescue brought into the shelter after being shot up by BBs. The fact that she's so affectionate and persistently friendly is a testament to how we treat our animals. They are loved and they are family, and they have their own spots on our furniture despite my best efforts lol Having a pittie, I understand how hard it is to find truly "pet-friendly" accommodations. To me, that means ALL pets, not just the cute little ones! That's why I don't mind watching any breed or size - without added or extra fees. I have no breed restrictions but dogs must be relatively well-mannered. “Excitable” is fine, destructive or "mean" is not. If your dog has separation anxiety, please be sure to bring familiar items like a favorite blanket or one of your sweaters/shirts that they can snuggle with. You may also want to bring a favorite toy or bag of treats, or food if it differs from what we have. We use Purina Dog Chow Complete Adult dog food and 9 Lives Plus Care cat food. If you have any questions, please ask! Located near Culebra and Callaghan on the northwest side of San Antonio (not that far from Woodlawn Park) but I can travel for pickups/check-ins/dog walks. Thanks for stopping by! :)
Reviews
I have known Rosemary G. for years. She has always been a dog lover, and dogs love her in return. She has always taken very good care of the dogs around her, even if they weren't her own. She knows well how to attend to their needs, and how to keep them entertained.
I have worked with Rosemary for years and will always test that she is a very kind and compassionate woman. I can say that she treats her pets as if they were her very own children with lots of love! I have no hesitations to leave my fur babies with her anytime!!!

Information Rosemary G. would like to know about your pet
For dogs or cats: - Do they get along with other dogs/cats? - Have they ever shown unprovoked aggression to other people/animals? - Do they regularly get into the trash or chew up/tear up items they should not (furniture, shoes, etc.)? - How often do you let the dog out or walk the dog at home? - For daycare stays: Does the dog need to be fed or will you be feeding them before/after? - Will food, treats, toys, or other personal items be provided? - Are they trained or know how to walk on a leash? If so, which commands do they know? - Are they spayed or neutered? If a female is not spayed, is she in heat?
A typical day
Potty breaks are in 2-hour increments in the backyard, but all dogs will receive a walk around the neighborhood (more or longer walks for those that walk well on-leash and walk well with other dogs). Outside activities include playing with kong toys, real tennis balls, ropes, or frisbees; light training if they are interested; running around and playing with other dogs; or just lying in the sun if that’s what they wanna do lol
