Pet care experience
After losing our 14 1/2 year-old yellow lab, Ivy, 6 years ago, life for my husband and I has felt a little empty. We cannot commit to owning a dog or two right now, but would welcome and care deeply for a canine friend temporarily. Our home is 4 blocks from a park with fenced in off-leash areas, and 4 houses away from a permanently empty lot, perfect for a dog's quick relief. I also enjoy taking dogs by car to larger parks. Rene, my husband, would be thrilled to meet new 4-legged friend(s). Currently, he works regular hours, otherwise I'm sure he would register for this service as well! We are in excellent health and enjoy walking in this quiet Burnaby neighbourhood. I can even take your pet to obedience class and share the lesson afterwards! Your friend will find fun and attentive humans to stay with till your return. I am currently working part-time so have plenty of time to play with your best friend. Boarding is available weekends too! My schedule is flexible. If you're on vacay, I want your pet to have a vacay too. For those who can, an off leash park is close by! I love the outdoors, so walks are always enjoyable, no matter how fast or slow.

We were so fortunate to have Rosemarie and her husband, Rene, take care of our 11-year old maltipoo for an entire week! You can easily tell they are very passionate about dogs. They made sure our pup had a wonderful vacation full of activities and cuddles while we were away. Rosemarie would send us lovely pictures and updates every evening and we really appreciated reading all the messages. They live in a beautiful house in a great neighborhood and they took our pup to the nature trails and parks around. We could enjoy our holiday without any worry about our pup's well-being. By the time we came to pick him up, he just didn't want to leave! He made a new best friend (another younger Maltipoo) too! We would definitely book with Rosemarie again.

Rose and her husband took great care of our dog Luna while we moved apartments. They are excellent communicators and lovely to speak to and deal with. I would absolutely ask them to dogsit again and recommend them without hesitation. Thanks!
My dog Brutus went to daycare with Rose for about 3 weeks and I could not have had a better experience! She is the absolute best! Her and Rene are such kind people and so so great with dogs. Also very accommodating with my dogs phobia of hard wood floors and the early start times. Brutus absolutely loved spending all day with them! so happy to have found them for any future vacations! and I know Brutus will be truly happy to see them again too xo

We will take many walks, if appropriate, especially at first if your pet is anxious without you. I might take your friend to a friend who has a small dog for a play date. My husband especially loves playing with dogs and I usually find him on the floor with a client playing fetch or tug-of-war.
