I've been a veterinary receptionist for 9 years and a pet owner for my whole life. I have experience with many different species and breeds of animals and love them all! I currently have 2 Chihuahuas and a Dachshund of my own. I would really love to provide care for your pet if you're ever in a pinch and need a hand to give your pets what they deserve. Feeding, medicating, potty breaks, and play time are all in my wheelhouse and I'm willing to do other care-related tasks as well. I am open to boarding small dogs as well, but I will be pickier about this service. I would prefer to only board laid-back seniors, but am open to discussion. I'm just looking to supplement my main income in the only way I know how: helping pets and their owners. I am more than willing to discuss all needs and terms with you, just ask! Thank you for your interest! **Availability: -I am available after 6:30pm in the Ottawa, IL area for drop ins on Mon, Tues, Thurs, & Fri. On these days, I am also available for quick drop ins between noon and 1pm in Plano, IL. -On Wednesdays and Sundays, I am available any time for both drop ins and walks in the Ottawa, IL area. -Saturday availability varies. -I will also consider boarding for the right dog on a case by case basis depending on your dog's needs and if they get along ok with my dogs. Rose is very passionate about dogs and their well being. I have worked with Rose at a vet clinic for over 6 months. She has worked at a vet clinic for 8 years so she has a good knowledge of veterinary basics and when something is concerning and would need attention. I think she would do a great job caring for pets through rover.
I worked with Rose at a local veterinary clinic for 5 years before she was offered a position she couldn’t refuse at another clinic. In total (as of April 2019) she has 8 years of experience working at a veterinary facility and she is currently still employed at one. I can say first hand it’s not the easiest of career choices, but Rose handles even the most dire circumstances with grace. One thing you will notice shortly after meeting her, is Rose’s passion for animals and their wellbeing. You can see it in the way she cares for her personal pets that she wants them to live a long, happy and comfortable life. Did you know that she has rescued two senior dogs, one of which is on daily medications? Rose understands the necessity of daily medications, and ensuring they are actually swallowed/taken. She knows that the senior generation of pets sometimes need a bit of a closer eye on them, just to monitor for changes in health. Rose’s three fur-babies might be small, but with her exposure at the veterinary clinic she has been around all sizes and temperaments. With her knowledge and background in the veterinary field, coupled with the attention to detail and dedication that she shows with her personal dogs, there is no one I would trust more to watch my fur-babies than Rose!
I did a background check before I hired Rose. Rose has tons of experience both personally and professionally. She has worked for multiple veterinary clinics and assisted with procedures so she knows what to do in an emergency. She has provided expert care for pets in great health and those that are sick and understands the importance of such things as dietary concerns and appropriate exercise. When I met Rose in person, it was immediately obvious to me that she cares deeply about animals. I was very happy with how she took care of my aging 12-year-old poodle and two 5-year-old German Shepherds! My vacation in Florida was for 2 weeks but Rose kept me updated on how my dogs were doing and I was able to relax and have a good time knowing they were in good hands. Brian S.
