I was taking a break from dogsitting this past year while I worked on some personal projects and travelled internationally, but now I’m back and excited to hang out with my furball friends, old and new! -—- I’ve lived with animals my whole life and have many years of active experience caring for dogs, both my own and others. I began dog-sitting over twelve years ago when a friend needed a last-minute sitter and it snowballed from there by word of mouth. I have experience caring for a wide range of sizes, breeds, activity levels, and needs including elderly dogs needing diapers, meds, and extra TLC. I can’t wait to hear all about your dog: what they like, what they need, and how you would like us to spend our time together. A note about cats: I am first and foremost a dog person, but of course if your dog comes along with a cat, I'll care for and love on the cat as well! However I don't currently provide cat care independent of overnight dogsitting, and my daily cat rate is the additional charge per cat per day on top of my daily in-home dogsitting rate. (With one exception: if you live in the village of Mount Horeb, I'll be happy to drop by once a day for feeding and litter changing.) I am the proud dogmom of a 9-pound terrier/chihuahua mix who, like me, has never met a dog she didn’t love. She’s a little over a year and full of energy and she LOVES to play. If your dog/s are playful and friendly towards little dogs, I’d love to introduce them so they can get a little variety in their days and work their wiggles out together. However there is no pressure at all for you to let me bring my dog into your home; she has a sweet setup where she gets to stay with my parents and their dogs when I’m away, so she’ll be a happy camper either way. Because of COVID-19, I’m being very careful of who and what I allow into my home. At this time, I am accepting overnight stays only from clients I've previously worked with, and will review drop-in requests on a case by case basis, and we would spend time talking about how to keep ourselves as safe as possible with the transfer of the dog and their accessories. Same with overnight stays in your home; it will work best if you can plan ahead enough in advance to keep your guest room and guest bathroom free of traffic for at least a week in advance of my stay. I am doing everything in my power to keep my environment and yours safe; for drop-in visits I wear a mask and gloves while inside the house/handling anything that belongs to you and your dog. If you decide to have me stay in your home to watch your pets, I will stick to the designated guest areas as much as possible, and before I leave I will thoroughly clean everything with whatever cleaning supplies you provide. I have raised my rates slightly to reflect this heightened level of vigilance. However I’m also flexible and open to crafting a personalized plan that will work for all of us, and creating price points on a case by case basis.
