Pet care experience
I have worked with dogs (and cats, exotics, farm animals!) since I was 15 and began volunteering at shelters. Since then, I've enjoyed jobs ranging from daycare to boarding to grooming to training to walking and sitting! I started at 15 and am almost 30 now. Ive always wanted to be around dogs- and I've always been huge on client relations too- I have been a dog daycare manager and one of my goals besides safety and wellbeing of pups is creating a one of a kind experience for the parents! I have training in dog first aid, CPR, medications and special needs, nutrition, and canine body language! I have 2 beagle mixes of my own, so I will house-sit ONLY with the ability to go home and get them out several times a day, first thing in the morning and at night. If your pets are friendly, UTD on vaccines, and/or you are ok with me bringing them into your home, that would be ideal!

I really can't say enough good things about Rose. Rose has been walking my dog regularly for a year. My dog Billie absolutely adores her! Billie gets so excited the second her car comes around the corner. Rose is always on time and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She genuinely just loves all dogs. Doesn't matter what breed they are, how big or how small. Rose is gentle and soft-spoken yet she can get my rather large, unruly dog that's a heavy puller to calm down and walk normally. I can't even get her to walk that way! Highly recommend!

I am always careful with my approach. I double check everything (collars, harnesses, crates, doors), ensure there are no oncoming cars or other animals before exiting a home, CPR/first aid certified as well! Keep my phone on me for emergencies and photos in safe areas, but my eyes stay off it while I’m out with your pets otherwise! I follow all instructions to a T and will reach out if I need further information rather than making guesses. I am able to give any type of medications as needed. I can also trim those toes if requested! I spend a lot of time gaining trust and just doing whatever makes the dog (and owner) comfortable. I tend to also talk as I am walking through the house in the event there are cameras or microphones so the owner will know where I am and what I am doing!

Allergies, reaction to strangers, where to exit/enter the home, contact information, where walking equipment is kept, where food/treats are kept, vet info, whether dog is pet friendly, will chase cars, prey driven, etc.
A typical day
I love playing with pups, their favourite toys are my favourite entertainment! I especially love walking at the pace of the dog- if he loves sniffing and stopping, so will I! If he wants to sprint, I'd love to join him! (Owner permitted). If owners are ok with adventures, i am happy to oblige with hikes or trail walks. Your dog loves swimming, into some water we will go! Need a nail trim or bath? I’m happy to do so!

I have open availability! I have ample ability to provide drop ins, walks, house sitting (and this can include farm sitting if needed as well! Do need to be able to leave and return so I can care for my own dogs, or bring them with me when possible to your home/farm.)
