A lover and caregiver of all pets

Pet care experience

Hello! Welcome to my page filled with dog-loving goodness! Update: I am back to being able to walk dogs of all sizes, however, occasionally health flares happen where I might be too fatigued to give high energy pup walks over 20 minutes - but if you have a backyard I can guarantee I will find a way to get their energy out, or will add to with with brain/ minor training games. I also will be applying to full time jobs, so I will currently only be accepting gigs that are ok with the possibility of me working a 9-5 M-F by the time of the stay. Rates will be reduced for days that I am working if you have multiple dogs. A little about me: I usually specialize in reactive/ disabled/ older pups, and welcome all. I was raised in the Northern CA foothills, taking care of cats, dogs, chickens, and more. I have been professionally dog-sitting for a little over 4 years now. Prior to Joining Rover a year ago, I pet-sat for friends and had a handful of cat and house-sitting gigs. I am open to pet-sitting for almost any animal, and I can take care of your plant friends too! I am good with all animals, but especially dogs. I’ve almost always lived with dogs so caregiving for them is a second nature to me. I am very aware of my body language around pups, and I have worked with a lot that have reactivity issues, along with pups with other sensitivities or disabilities. I am also comfortable with giving dogs medication (I have only personally given oral medication and eye drops, but if another type is needed, I am open to learning from you.). Prior to pet-sitting, I will always like to meet your dog/s and get a run down of their needs and routines. I love to send (p)updates with photos while you are away so you are filled in on how they are doing, and I will always ask questions or tell you if something seems off. I absolutely love taking them for long walks when I can. I am very flexible and adaptable to each pups individual needs. I have sat for pit bulls, mastiffs, labs, cockapoos, miniature poodles, border collies, cattle dogs and unknown mixes, walking and leash training puppies, pit bulls, huskies (and one adorable husky-corgi), German Shepard mixes, Great Danes, and more! My rates are fixed for single dogs, no matter the size again barring any special circumstances. I figure we can fine-tune a rate that is comfy for both of us if need be, based on individual needs for multiple animals. I am vaccinated but still extremely covid-cautious and will always make sure I am bringing a safe environment to your pup. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am overjoyed with my experience with Rosalind. They have been extremely responsive and took great care of my pup. Also provided the cutest pictures. I will forever want to book with Rosalind for when I need care.

Rosalind was awesome with our two dogs. She was responsive from the moment we sent her an inquiry. We have a high energy shepherd and a 5 month old puppy, and I felt like they were better trained after the 5 days away from us, and with her! She sent us daily updates with photos. Our fur babies were well taken care of. Thanks so much, Rosalind!

The only sitter I will ever trust!! Rosalind is so communicative and always sends picture updates of our fur babies! We’ve never felt so comfortable leaving our home. Rosalind is so incredibly kind and takes such great care of our pups even though Dacie gets nervous and sometimes sick when we leave. Thank you sooo much for taking such amzing care of all of the animals for us while we were away! We don’t know what we would do without you!!

Rosalind is amazing! She knew all the right things to do to for my anxious dog and followed instructions with my cats meds.

Information Rosalind G. would like to know about your pet

I always will ask about medication, your pups regular schedule, if they have any sensitivities (to touch, other dogs, animals or people), if there is any training you are doing that you would like me to continue or observe and offer up suggested technique, their energy level, if we go on walks if they are leash trained/ and if not if you would like me to do leash training with them. And more!

A typical day

I normally do my regular day to day things while taking care of your pup. I love to play ball outside, give them snuggles, and everything you would normally do for them. If there is any training you would like to do or continue I will happily do so as well as observe and offer new techniques if wanted.

I currently have a completely open schedule, but am considering getting a full time job by April 2023. I will always make sure pups are exercised before leaving and after coming back. Currently I spend the day doing as I would normally at home but adding in pup care. I like to do stimulating brain games with pups and regular backyard/ walk exercise to make sure they get all the stimulation they need. If doing walks, if pups tend to pull I will always do at least some minor leash training with them.
