I have owned dogs and cats and other animals for 40+ years. I volunteer in an animal sanctuary providing care for horses, donkeys, small domestic animals and birds. I have 2 dogs at home, big and small and chickens, which are secured in a fenced area. I have a large house and secure garden, so dogs can be separated if needed. I can look after other small caged animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits and indoor or outdoor birds. I live near to parks and the beach and regularly take the dogs for runs on the beach. I have rescued many dogs over the years and managed a variety of behaviours to successful outcomes. I have had experience of owning puppies and have also had a dog who had epilepsy and managed his seizures with medication and holistic treatments. Animals are my passion and I fundraise in the community for vulnerable and neglected animals at the sanctuary where I volunteer.
