Pet care experience
I have extensive experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages. I grew up on a farm, and spent most of my days with our pack of 5 working Collies - each one different but all energetic and up for mega walks. I have also had a gorgeous wee Labradoodle - all cuddles and play. Having been in households with litters of puppies as well as golden oldies, I feel confident caring for dogs of all ages, and have experience in administering topical and oral medications. I've cared for animals in both city and rural environments, and feel comfortable handling dogs in busy spaces. As I haven't recently had a dog in my life, I love spending time with my friends' pets - these include a Husky/Akita cross, Collies, and a very cute Pomeranian.

Rosa did a fantastic job house-sitting with our Bernese/Border Collie mix Freya. She was great with the dog and Freya absolutely loved her! We'd strongly recommend her to anyone looking for dog-sitting and definitely hope she'll be able to look after Freya again in future.
Wonderful dog sitter, our puppy loved her from the get go. Really communicative, was lovely to get some updates and pictures throughout the evening. Would 100% recommend!
Rosa was absolutely fab with my nervous boy - she took the time to come for a meet and greet, gave him the space he needed and kept me updated throughout the day with how they were getting on. She's fab!
One of the best dog-sits Mushroom has had. Rosa had great rapport with our bostie - she clearly loves dogs and is very experienced with adapting to their personalities and keeping them happy! Mushroom had an excellent day of walkies and playing, followed swiftly by some well-deserved naps. All the way through the day Rosa was great at keeping in contact with us and we loved the pics we received. Would highly recommend and will be booking Rosa again soon ?

I will take the lead from your dog in terms of interaction and play, respecting boundaries and letting them guide our interactions. I am very aware of approaching new dogs in a way that cultivates a trusting relationship - this is my approach with any animal I am looking after. When caring for your dog in your home, I will respect your environment and be attentive to the general and specific needs of your dog - food, walks, bathing and medication where necessary, and (of course) lots of cuddles if they would like them.
Information Rosa M. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to know about any dietary restrictions or health conditions your dogs may have, as well as how they get on with other animals. Understanding their recall ability is important too. I am happy to work with dogs that sit on the spectrum of all these things, however having prior knowledge is essential.
A typical day
I consider myself a calm and organised person, and will always aim to make your dog happy and comfortable. I am equally up for being silly and having a good play. Spending time outside is a huge bonus for me, so I enjoy going for walks (long or short, depending on your dog's needs) and will happily throw a ball until we're both exhausted. I am based in South East Oxford, and am familiar with nice parks and spots for walks.

Availability
Whilst I work full time, my scehdule is flexible: I am happy to care for your pet on weekdays or weekends and with short notice where my schedule allows. Going for walks and dogsitting provides a great contrast to my desk-based work, so I am always happy to nip out for check-ins or walks. I have the flexibility to spend good quality, enriching time with your dog or pop by as and when you need.
