Pet care experience
My professional goal is and always has been to enhance the well-being of our pets. They give so much to us, and all we can do is give them the best care possible. I've worked in the veterinary field since college working in clinics, emergency rooms, and research. Although I no longer work in the clinic, caring for animals is still my passion. I love making a connection with your pets and making them feel loved and safe. It is very important to me that both you and your pet are comfortable with every aspect of my care. I know how tough it can be to leave your pet's care in the hands of others, so I strive to be as communicative as I can to give you peace of mind. I promise you'll love the photos. I can't wait to enjoy the company of your pet and give them the best experience possible while you are away! I'd be happy to care for aquatic pets as well including water changes, feeding, dosing, and checking water parameters.

Absolutely wonderful. Romina is always great and I feel so lucky to have her as our sitter. One of my cat’s was sick while she pet sit and she was very proactive with his care and tending to his needs. She left things clean and orderly. It’s always a pleasure!
This is the second time Romina has dropped in to visit our cat while we were away and once again she went above and beyond. Beyond just keeping him fed and watered, she really took time to play and bond with him and took lots of cute cat pictures. She was also ready and willing to just keep an eye on the house in addition to the cat. Romina brings a responsible and professional attitude to the task and clear love of animals.

I live in an condo with a nature trail on the property where we can have good long walks if your dog is staying with me. The property will also have its very own dog park soon. Your pets can have access to the entire condo or they can have their own room if they need separation from my cat. Since I work from home, they will have company during the work-day when staying with me. For Drop-ins I only take a maximum of 3 clients per day to make sure I am able to give each pet individualized attention without having to rush. For Boarding, I only take in one boarding client at a time, so I will accept more than one pet only if they live in the same household.

If you'd like boarding or doggy daycare services, I'll need to know if your dog is good around cats. There is a cat in my home who is typically fine around dogs as long as they are not aggressive.
A typical day
I can tailor the activity level based on the pet's needs and personality. We can run or walk in the neighborhood, but we can go for even longer walks/runs/hikes on nice weekend days. There is plenty of room in my apartment to play if you opt for daycare and feel free to bring their favorite toy!

Availability
I offer pet sitting care for all animals, even those with special needs. I will follow your directions and your veterinarian's instructions in giving the best possible care. I still work in the veterinary field but 100% from home. I have no restrictions as to the location of my work, so if you'd like me to stay longer than a quick drop-in with your pets, all I need is a wi-fi connection.
