Many years as dog owner but currently without one. Walking a dog would be a wonderful way to connect again with a variety of breeds and personalities. Know it takes patience and understanding each pet with a gentle but firm hand at times. Can't be in as hurry depending on the nature of the dog. Recently help neighbor with their dog and have really enjoyed it. Getting to know a dog and all its character is a great joy; and as a dog builds trust they reveal even more if you are aware and receptive. Dogs (and cats) have always seemed to like me instantly; I don't push too much, but let the dog decide when and how to connect. Their signals are pretty clear.
