Pet care experience
I just love pets … and want to take care of yours as my own! I have either owned or had a pet in my life … ALL of my life! I do know what it takes to love and care for them and take this responsibility seriously 😊. I am a retired Army guy of 34 years and this is just a next opportunity for me to help those in the community that need someone to entrust their fur baby to someone and honored it could be me!

Rod took great care of my two huskies while I was away on business. He has a way with connecting with dogs and was very attentive to every need and made sure to send pictures and frequent updates, which I enjoyed! When I came home, they hardly got up to greet me - which to me is the mark of a great dog sitter and tells me that he took such great care of them that they didn't miss me much while I was gone... Which is what I want! They absolutely love him, and I 100 percent will be re-booking with him for future dates. Thanks Rod for being such an awesome sitter!
I’ve known Rod for over 30 years. Rod has had pets as part of his family for the majority of his life. He has owned mostly Husky’s. However, he also owned a German Shepherd and a cat. He is also a Grandpa to a three old energetic Corgi. Rod’s pets are considered pals. They do everything with him. He takes them for car rides, running, boating, fishing, and for long walks around the neighborhood. He even takes naps with them. 😊 He also enjoys interacting with pets in the neighborhood (too many to mention). And, on occasion he has been asked to care for their pets when they go on vacation or business trips. If you are looking for a pet care provider that will treat your beloved pet like a family member, is a person who honors commitments, shows up on time, and is trust worthy (retired military) then Rod is your person. I’d rate him two 🐾!

We currently are taking care of our ‘granddog’, Larry the Corgi. Larry has a partially fenced yard but has been trained to stay in yard while we are out with him. We have also had huskies which of course needed a fenced in yard so we also had that for their safety as runners! Both dogs each walked on leashes, he plenty of playtime outside with other dogs, and provided safe and comfy sleeping places in and out! Our fur babies where treated like family and look forward to treating yours as the same per YOUR guidance and preferences

A typical day
I have always tried to keep routines for our dogs … not a surprise from an army guy (!), but with those routines finding out what the dogs love and then always reinforce that thing they love.

Just again a retired army guy that has a fair amount of flexibility and doing this as a fun gig job … if the dates and times work for both of us then great, if not I hope I can align with you another time!
