Pet care experience

I am super attentive, love being outside, and am very sensitive to the needs of dogs. I worked with a few different animals most recently doing massage for pain relief, which is an extension of careers and studies around body work and anatomy that I have been invested in most of my life. Territorial dogs (and others!) quickly take a liking to me and clients say that I am trustworthy and fun! I understand that each pup is unique and has different needs when it comes to diet, exercise, mental activity, physical activity, and affection. We will certainly be going on long walkabouts on easy forested trails or by the beach, unless your pooch isn't feeling well, in which case we will cuddle and watch Lassie reruns ;)

Robyn recently stayed at our house to look after our two dogs Rex and Nicky in the week immediately following Xmas into the new year. Our canine companions were well taken care of and Robyn even took them to the beach (one of their favorite places). Robyn was responsible and very responsive while we were away and our house was well looked after. Robyn was awesome and I would definitely use her services again!

Robin is a warm caring friendly person. The first time she met our animals, they went right up to her and greeted her. She stayed with our animals for 10 days. She had to change a bandage on our elder dog at least once a day, sometimes twice. Our dog had sleep issues also, and she was patient and kind and dealt with each situation with humor. She's very caring and gave our geriatric dog regular massages and intuitively understood what she needed. We highly recommend Robin for your animal care. Megan and Jack

Robyn is a delightful young lady. She has worked with our Maltese/Yorkie, Lily. Robyn is friendly and active and was able to love our Lily as her own. She has a natural intuition with animals.

While staying with us for two weeks, Robyn took the most incredible care of our 8-year-old rescue dog, as well as our home. She has a very special way with people and animals, bringing a calming and loving energy to everything she does. Rosie absolutely melted in her presence, and adored the long walks and nightly pup massages she would get from Robyn. Robyn lavished Rosie with attention and love and made sure her needs were met while we were away from the house. I have known Robyn for years and would recommend her services to absolutely anybody. She is the person you want staying in your home, and responsible for your furbabies. She is simply the best.

Safety, trust & environment

Every dog has different needs so I make sure to get a full intake on your pup before anything else on my end. Safety is very important for both pet and human! I'm very sensitive to pet body language and also make sure to maintain an authoritative position and set boundaries which is huge with building trust as well as for safety. I do not yell or physically discipline I redirect with toys or mental/training exercises and positive attention.

Information Robyn P. would like to know about your pet

Where on their ear they like to be scratched! Also! Feeding schedule, any specific behavioral things even if they seem minor are always really helpful so I can get to know them as quickly as possible and have an idea of what kind of environment to set for them before they arrive (in the case of dog boarding) Its definitely important to know what they are like with other animals, on leash, off leash, and with other humans. Any triggers they might have as well.

A typical day

Walks on the beach or out in a nearby walkabout are my favorite! I try to get the pups out 1-2 times a week for longer excursions! Daily activities are listed above!

I am an early riser and work from home! I am a business owner and have full control of my schedule. I wake up somewhere between 5/530 and pups get their first potty break at 6. Breakfast at 7 and a longer walk around 9 I set aside multiple times a day for training exercises in 5-10 minute increments depending on the exercise we are working on. Another short walk or potty break around 1 and 4 dinner at 530 and a long walk around 730. I live near the lake so sometimes we go to the unofficial dog park! And Winter schedules are modified because I don't like walking when its too dark and tend to go to bed earlier. There are always animals around wether i am fostering or dog sitting or helping a pup that got loose find its way back home, so its important to stick to a schedule to make sure nothing gets missed! I arrange my work blocks in between pup time!
