Animals have been a part of my household since I can remember. Whether cats, dogs, or guinea pigs, I'm comfortable. I also love big dogs, since I grew up with huskies and Malamutes. If you have a special routine for walks or a way your dog likes his belly rubbed, please let me know and I'd be happy to make it happen!

Robin has cared for our cats many times, and is a true gift to them. I've also witnessed them charming more than a couple of dogs over the years. It's impressive. Robin understands animals at a very fundamental level. They take the time to ascertain who the cat or dog "is," and meets them there. Robin is patient, and seems to operate on the cat or dog's individual wavelength. It's a skill and a connection with animals I've rarely, if ever, witnessed in another human being. The result is cats and dogs which are relaxed, comfortable, understood, and really well taken care of. I unequivocally recommend Robin as a pet caregiver. I literally don't believe I've met anyone finer.
Robin has grown up with both cats and dogs, and has tremendous empathy and understanding for pets of all ages. Robin's reliability, strong work ethic and affinity for all kinds of furry friends are strong qualifications. I would (and have) entrusted my beloved pets to Robin's care.

I always like to get to know pets the first time I meet them by getting on their level and letting them smell me--even my breath, since some dogs like that! Once we know each other, I'll tend to your pet's needs and make sure they get some affection, whether in the form of belly rubs or playing with a favorite toy (or both!).
Information Robin S. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know if there are any special routines you follow during walks--e.g., is it okay to stop and smell flowers, or should your dog be heeling and moving along? If your large dog has serious issues while walking, however (e.g. lunging at other dogs repeatedly, requires lots of physical strength to keep under control), I may not be the best fit, as I am not very tall myself. It's also helpful to know what kind of treats your pet should get and how often.
A typical day
If your dog has a backyard, I look forward to getting a tour of it--I like to see dogs' "rooms." We'll also go on walks, play with their favorite toys, and keep each other company.

Availability
I'm currently between jobs, so taking care of your pet is my main priority. My preference is to not accept any bookings more than a month in advance, but aside from that, I'm happy to accommodate your scheduling needs in any way I can!
