Caring and Reliable
Pet care experience
We’ve cared for animals with anxiety, young and old animals, and animals needing medication. We are volunteers with the WGSPR (Wisconsin German Shorthaired Pointer Rescue). We've raised 3 dogs: Basil (Labrador), Buster (mixed breed) and Hunter (German Shorthaired Pointer). They each lived long and loved lives. We treat all animals as if they are a part of our family. In fact, we purchased an RV so that Hunter could join us while we created memories on the road. After 14 years of sharing the best of times with Hunter, he passed away. That was 3 years ago. As with every animal we've loved, Hunter's passing left us feeling a deep loss - but our desire to serve animals remains. We look forward to caring for your pet and treating them with the love and respect they deserve. We are non-smokers. We have 3 years experience and ten 5-star reviews from another dog/house sitting account. For a few years we archived our Rover account while we traveled. Each of our volunteer positions: State Park Campground Hosts, WGSPR, Mentor/Tutor and Literacy Programs required thorough background checks.
Reviews
Our dog loved his stay with Robin! He got frequent walks, lots of snuggles, and joined her on adventures. We appreciated the excellent communication from Robin. She is going to be our go-to in the future whenever we need care for our pup. Highly recommend!
Once again Charlie was in the best care ever with Robin and Richard. My daughter got married and it was so reassuring to know that Charlie was being loved and taken care of so well. He definitely has more of a social life when he is visiting them as they include him in everything they do.❤️Robin is also wonderful at sending pics of Charlie’s stay which are so fun to see!
Robin and Richard are the most incredible dog sitters❤️Our dog Charlie has stayed with them multiple times and loves going to stay with them. This time Charlie was at their house for over 2 weeks! It is so easy to drop him off and pick him up. Charlie is treated Just as if he were home and maybe given even more attention! Robin and Richard love on Charlie by taking him faithfully on his walks, to the Farmers Market, 4th of July fireworks, cuddling and taking naps with him. They are wonderful about taking and sending pics of him when we are gone! I couldn’t have found a better fit for someone to live on and take such great care of Charlie🥰They come highly recommended!
Robin and Richard are wonderful dog sitters! I am a repeat customer and my dog Charlie has found his home away from home when we are out of town. Robin and Richard are very conscientious with taking care of Charlie like he is at our home which makes it comforting to know when he is boarded. I definitely recommend them and will be using their services every time I am in need of Charlie to be taken care of .

Your pet would be welcome in our home. There are no steps. We have a large patio alongside a meadow and a short block from the Interurban bike/walk trail. We would walk your pet on this trail.

We prefer a small, hypoallergenic dog who is house and crate trained. Your dog would have our full attention and love. We look forward to caring for your pet.
A typical day
We live one block from the Interurban walk/bike path. We would walk your dog on the path. If you bring tugging toys with your pet, we'll be sure to use them at "play time."

Hi there! We're an adventurous, caring and responsible couple ready to be of service to you. My name is Robin and my husband is Richard (I call him Dikki). We are both retired. Dikki from his career as a Mechanical Engineer and I'm a retired Physical Therapist. Dikki likes to fish, golf and ride his motorcycle. I enjoy hiking, long distance cycling and reading. We both enjoy traveling, socializing with family/friends and sharing time with animals. Although we don't have children, we’ve been involved in children’s lives through local literacy and school mentor/tutor programs.
