I love animals period. I grew up on a small farm and we always had lots of animals around. My mom always claimed their was an invisible sign at the end of our driveway that only animals could see that said 'if you are lost, hurt or need a home stop in here'. I have always had pets in our life. As an adult I had a German Sheppard puppy at 6 weeks old. She was a really great dog, but unfortunately they get old and I had to say goodbye. Since then I have not had another pet. Life got busy, but now, I have some extra time on my hand. When I have looked after a friends cat while she was away on vacation and then a business trip in the past it was really nice to have her here and I know that she appreciated having a friend look after her kitten and to not have to put her in a kennel. So having a profile on Rover seems like the right thing. I have been now looking after pups through Rover for over 2 years and totally enjoy having a new friend at the house. I know it takes a lot of stress off knowing your pup will be well looked after and not in a kennel while you are away. I work from home so I’m able to keep them company all day long and let them in and out as many times as they want to our very large backyard.
