Pet care experience
I am a big animal lover and a previous pet owner (dog and cat) who became a pet sitter 4 years ago. I have fostered both dogs and cats for over 25 years and I have experience with dogs that have fears, are feral, are aggressive, and that have been abused. In recent years, most of my experience has been with small dogs under 25 pounds (all different breeds). I have experience with senior dogs and dogs that have medical needs (such as diabetes). I use positive reinforcement (reward base) as I build a relationship with your loved one. This approach is non confrontational and allows them to feel at ease and safe in my presence. I currently have no animals of my own and I will be looking after one clients pet(s) at a time. This allows them to get the care and attention that they require when the owner is not available. I am insured and bonded and provide extraordinaire pet care. Your furry ones are treated like my family members when they are with me. My goal is for them to have complete comfort in my smoke free home (beds, biscuits and belly rubs are the key to success). I will also book a free "meet and greet" with all clients prior to spending time with your animal. This will give us some time to discuss your pets needs. I live in a nice quiet neighborhood that has plenty of walking trails close by. I am an active individual that walks/hikes on a daily basis. Your dog will be walked on a leash, in a safe area with treats in my pocket and at their pace. If preference is a play in the backyard rather than a walk, then I can accommodate this as well. I will not be visiting a dog park with your dog as their safety is imperative while they are in my care. I aim to duplicate your dogs' home routine and environment as much as possible, and my goal is to provide a stress free stay for your fur babies while in my care. I am currently semi-retired and my time is flexible. I also keep my calendar on Rover up to date at all times. I only take one family booking at a time. Each dog in my home will have a small collar with a dog tag that has my name and my cell phone number. I ask that you provide me with as much detail as possible on my information document that I will email you. I am bonded and have pet sitter insurance.

Do they have food allergies or medical needs? After booking, I will ask that you complete a detailed document about your dog's habits, feeding and walking schedules, daily routines, frequency of potty breaks, etc. so we can make their time with me as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
A typical day
Located in a condo in a quiet and safe neighborhood in Byron. We guarantee supervised play sessions throughout the day and at least 30 mins of walking time, typically twice a day. If your dog prefers less activity, then no worries we strive to follow each dogs current activity level requirements. We are close to a number of walking paths and a large park. When I am out of the home during the day, we limit house access with gates or crate them (whichever they are used to at home when you are away). All dogs in my care will have a dog tag on that has my name and my cell number for identification purposes. Nighttime for your dog: We will respect your dog's normal sleeping arrangement, whether it's in a dog bed, on the floor, or in our bed
