Hey! My name is Robin, and I am an undergraduate Biological Sciences major at the University of Pittsburgh. I grew up around dogs- I have an 11 year old boxer at home with the family in Philadelphia. I took care of him full-time before leaving for school and he is my world. At school, I routinely volunteer at the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh, walking the dogs. Over the summer, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Lawrenceville Veterinary Clinic. I gained experience on how to handle all sorts of dogs with a range of temperaments. I am a full-time student who is seeking to earn some extra cash. I am open to setting up a regular petsitting schedule with someone who needs weekly care. I have to work around my class schedule, but I am available most weekday afternoons and evenings. I have tentative weekend availability. Reach out to set something up!

Information Robin H. would like to know about your pet
It is important for me to be aware of any medical issues, allergies, and fears that a dog may have. I would also appreciate knowing how well they walk with a stranger- I have had many headstrong dogs who only want to walk with their owner. It is nothing I can't handle, but I would like to be prepared with high-value treats to get the ball rolling. Finally, please let me know if your dog is a rescue/comes from an unhappy previous home. While I treat all my client's pets with the same love and care, these animals tend to benefit from a much gentler approach.
A typical day
Your dog and I will have so much fun together. I have a lot of experience with keeping shelter dogs stimulated, so I understand what it takes to tire them out. I especially love to walk around in Panther Hollow, so that is a great option for more active breeds.
