I like to make the dogs the focal point of my daily routine. I work out of my home so there's plenty of time for play, cuddling and, best of all, walks! I try to include one long walk per day(weather permitting) in one of the many preserves nearby(Al Sabo, Hampton Lake, Asylum Lake, etc.). I have a large backyard for on-leash exploring and a quiet residential street to stretch out our legs on. There will be plenty of opportunities to meet the friendly neighborhood dogs, too (if desired)! I especially like, and can handle, larger dogs. I don't have a dog of my own currently but I had 10 great but, sadly, too-short years with my beautiful, goofy, loyal, lovable, 110 lb. German Shepherd! (Still miss him after 5 yrs.) Since that time I have frequently volunteered at some of the local dog rescue/adoption services.
