Availability

I work for a local public safety agency, which gives me 4 consecutive days off every week and a very flexible schedule. On my days off, I spend a lot of time outdoors and typically take dogs on hikes, walks, and adventures around Summit County. Because of my schedule, I’m able to provide plenty of attention, exercise, potty breaks, and companionship throughout the day instead of leaving pets alone for long periods of time.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a single family residence with a private yard, giving your pup space to relax, play, and decompress if needed. I can also provide crate accommodations for dogs who are crate trained or more comfortable with their own space. I always prioritize safety, supervision, and a calm environment. I take time to learn each dog’s routine, personality, and needs so they feel comfortable and secure while in my care.

Information Robert B. would like to know about your pet

It helps to know your pet’s normal routine; things like their feeding schedule, how often they’re used to being walked, and any commands they already know. Please also share any medical info, medications, allergies, or behavioral quirks (like how they are around other dogs, people, bikes, etc.). It’s also really helpful to know how they do on leash, whether they’re allowed off-leash in certain areas, and what tends to make them nervous or overly excited. The more I understand about their personality and routine, the easier it is for me to keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. * Tractive GPS collars always used when walking off leash.

A typical day

A typical day depends on the dog’s energy level, personality, and routine. For high energy pups, I’m happy to do long walks, trail hikes, or more adventurous outings where they can explore, sniff, and burn off energy. If they’re more laid back, we’ll keep it simple with relaxed neighborhood walks and lots of time to just stop and explore at their own pace. If it fits their personality and routine, I’m also happy to do a stroll through dog friendly areas like Main Street for some extra stimulation. Overall, I just try to match their vibe so the day feels easy, fun, and familiar for them.

Reliable Pet Care for Active Dogs

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for animals since I was 8 years old and grew up around a wide variety of pets. I’m a genuine animal lover and understand that every dog has a different personality, energy level, and comfort needs. I currently have an 8 YO chocolate lab who has never met a dog (or person) he doesn’t like. Because of that, I’m very experienced with socialization, active dogs, and reading canine behavior. I’m also certified in Cat & Dog First Aid through the American Red Cross, so your pet’s safety and wellbeing are always a top priority. Whether your pup loves adventures and hikes or prefers a calm and relaxing environment, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for like family.

Rob is a responsible and reliable owner, and has watched my Great Pyrenees on many occasions! His dog, Dan is the sweetest boy and gets along great with other dogs.

If you are looking for an exceptional pet sitter, Robert is the absolute best choice on Rover. We have hired him multiple times to care for our pets while traveling internationally, and he has proven to be thoroughly dependable. One of our biggest concerns was our dog, Poppy, who suffers from situational anxiety. Fortunately, Robert possesses the patience and expertise required to manage anxious behaviors, keeping her relaxed and content in our absence. His professionalism and dedication to animal welfare are unmatched. I consistently recommend Robert to all of my friends and neighbors without reservation.
