Not only will your dog have the companionship of my wife, Kate, and I, our family is made whole by two other family members. These are a 1 year old Lab/Border Collie mix named Luna, and a 1 1/2 year old Cockatiel named Nova (the feathered one in my photos :) ). Luna loves to play and there is a dog park 100 feet from our apartment. We schedule our stays so that there will always be someone at home with your dog, either myself or my wife. Along with regular walks, your dog will get plenty of time to run free in the dog park. There are also plenty of other dog-friends we can introduce your dog to should you want him/her to socialize all day. Whatever potty schedule your pup is on, my wife and I can accommodate. I have had dogs in my life since the day I was born and will be comfortable watching dogs of any size/breed. My past canine family include a medium sized mutt (Ginger), a German Shepherd (Rosie), a Shih-Tzu (Ruby), and now a Lab/Border Collie mix (Luna). Does your dog snuggle up on the couch or in bed? That's fine. Do you not want them on the furniture? That's fine too. I also happen to be dang good at tug of war (at least Luna thinks so).
