I am a professional dog trainer (CPDT), certified with the certification council of professional dog trainers. I am a member of APDT (Association of Professional Dog Trainers). A mother of three girls and one German Shepherd mix named Lilly. I earned my veterinary technician degree in 2005 from NOVA community college in Northern VA and worked in the field for 5-6 years before becoming a trainer full time. In addition to training I offer boarding in my home for dogs of all breeds and ages. I love all dogs and have no problem handling any dog with any possible behavioral/medical problems. My home is dog friendly and well balanced. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my whole life. From the age of 12 when I started doing Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy raising to earning my degree in veterinary technology in 2005 to becoming a certified trainer in 2009. I have always wanted to work with animals and I have a special bond with our canine companions. Meet my pets 4 year old German Shepherd mix - Lilly (fixed, dog friendly) About my yard I have a large area out back that is fenced in and very wooded for a great outdoor experience. Everyone takes frequent walks. My experience administering medication Having worked as a vet tech for over 5 years I am comfortable doing anything from daily injections, oral medications, and even subcutaneous fluids.

Ms. R'Kenia is a great dog sitter! Apollo loves going there and plays well with the other dogs, and he loves her backyard. She is great with Apollo and I always feel fine leaving Apollo with her. She has kept Apollo many times, it his home away from home. We Will continue to call on Ms. R'Kenia to keep our Apollo.

She so rule, she return my dog with her attitude, then she forgot ear care solution so we tried call and text her but she doesn’t reply us.
I’m generally nervous about leaving my dog with people because he is very hyperactive and requires some attention. R’Kenia did a great job watching my Pit Bull puppy. He’s a 60 lb pup, but he did great with her care and had a ball enjoying the in her backyard

I would like to know if the dog is kid and dog friendly, however I have had dogs who were not kid friendly or had mild to moderate aggression/fear aggression issues. My children understand the safety rules and there are very few dogs that I can not handle regardless of their possible behavioral issues.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Walks can be anywhere from the local park to just around the neighborhood depending on the weather. Dogs are NEVER placed out unsupervised. Your dog's sleeping arrangement I prefer dogs to sleep crated at least for the first visit. This is for safety of not only my home but for your pet and other pets who may the boarding. I do have a few dogs who I know well enough to allow to sleep wherever they choose. Time I'll spend with your dog I work from home so dogs are never crated Dogs in my care are not left alone for more than 3 hours at a time for any reason. So there is LOTS of cuddle times, lots of play times and frequent walks or trips to the dog park.

I am out of the house for 2-3 hours 1-2 a day so I am home to supervise all pets and when I am away pets are crated unless otherwise arranged
