Pet care experience
Having grown up with dogs, I have always enjoyed being around them and wish every dog on the planet can have a great, safe, long, happy, and healthy life. Currently, my family has two 8-year old dogs, a large Yellow Lab (~90lbs) and a Goldendoodle (~60lbs), whom have very different personalities even though they are the same age. Lily (the Lab) is very active and Reilly (the Goldendoodle) is much more relaxed. I am very close with both of them, and it has been great to watch them grow and has given me valuable experience interacting with dogs of different personalities. Living in the city and not being a dog owner (yet), I think dog sitting through Rover is a great way to help dogs and their owners be comfortable during periods of travel. I think of dogs truly as part of our families, and I treat all dogs as such, providing attention, care, concern, and interaction as much as possible.

R.J was fantastic!!! From the moment we met, I knew he was a serious dog lover and all around nice guy. I travel a ton for work and finding someone I trust to watch Larry has always been something I struggle with. It's hard to just give your life away to someone you just met. R.J. was caring, communicative, enthusiastic and loving to Larry. I feel so lucky that Larry was with R.J and his girlfriend in such a safe and loving environment. If you have the chance to have R.J. watch your pup, do it. You won't have to worry about a thing!
As his brother, I've had first-hand knowledge of RJ's love for dogs for our entire lives. Our family is very well aware that humans fall behind dogs in the pecking order of RJ's affections. He has wholeheartedly cared for our family's dogs for as long as I can remember, and I'm sure he'd do the same for any pooch he is dog sitting. Your pup will be in good hands with RJ looking after him or her.
I've been friends with RJ for about 10 years and I can confidently say he is a true dog lover. His first love is his yellow lab Lily who lives with RJ's parents in NJ. It's obvious RJ wishes he could spend more time with his canine friends so dog sitting will give him the perfect opportunity to do that. He has a great ability to connect with dogs, be compassionate, and fun at the same time. He is responsible and I have no doubt he would make a great dog sitter!
