Pet care experience
Pets are my passion! I have had pets since 14 years old and truly feel that all of our 4 legged friends are family. I have cared for animals with medical disabilities, including my own dog who went through chemotherapy and my cat who has one eye and requires daily medication. I currently have 2 cats in my home, but they will be separated from your pet on a different floor unless we both decide we are comfortable otherwise. Your pet will have the remaining 2 floors to run around, including a private backyard to play in. I live across a large park and am walking distance to several dog parks as well. If you’d like, I am happy to help socialize your dog with other friends I have made through the Rover experience!

Second time having Riya watch my cat, she is the best sitter!! My cat could not love her more!! It makes it so much easier to be away from my kitty knowing that she is so cared for and safe with Riya.

all I have to say is Riya did such a good job that my puppy did not want to leave…also took amazing pictures of her by the river which I might just have to submit to GQdogs, because wow they were good. will be going to her again for boarding our Bleu!!!
Riya helped us out big-time with daycare when we had an all day family event on a weekday & couldn't leave our dog home. He seemed to love it there. We really appreciated it, thanks Riya!

Our pets are our family. I will send you updates and pictures throughout the day, and am open to video calls if you’d like to check in on your pet! I treat your pet as if they are my own - they are welcome to sleep on the couch or bed as long as you are not training them otherwise. I can follow your schedule and routine so that it is an easy transition for your pet while you are away.

A typical day
I live right across a large park that has a walking trail that spans several miles alongside the river. That combined with nearby dog parks and a backyard, it makes for many great options to keep your dog stimulated!

Availability
I work from home and can provide full attention to your pet during the day. I typically wake up around 6:30am for exercise, and can easily incorporate a long walk into the morning schedule and in the evenings as well. We can play in the backyard or park at lunchtime, too!
