I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't owned a dog or a cat. Many of our friends and family asked for me to watch or walk their dogs when I was a kid. Two years ago, I started a job at a pet store, so my animal care really dove deep as I learned to care for a variety of animals, from dogs and cats to fish and reptiles. I now own a rabbit of my own, with a whole menagerie of animals back home. This past summer, I also worked at a vet clinic, giving medications, cleaning kennels, and providing socialization to animals of all ages and backgrounds. Some were very sick, very young, or very old, so no condition will scare me off. I love all types of pets, big and small, and I will ensure that any animal put into my care is treated just like family.
