Reliable and professional

Pet care experience

I’ve owned dogs for 21 years. I had to put my last one down in 2021 after 17 years together. For the following years, I was fostering a different dog every month or 2 after. I walk some dogs around the county regularly.

Rishi has always provided my 4 legged sons with the same level of care he would take care of me. He always shows up on time, and is in a good mood every visit. That adds up. Tyler and Terrance love going out with Rishi. He keeps up well.

Rishi has always been the caretaker in my family. He performed all the care for any of our dogs. He is the one who nurses us to health when sick. He is the responsible one among us siblings. He would care for your pet as he would his own family.

I recently had Rishi care for my pet while I was away on a trip. I arranged a meet and greet with my dog and they got along very well. Rishi was responsive and sent photos. This put me at ease. I highly recommend him.

My experience with Rishi has always been kindness. I don’t often write references. I’d place Rishi as a kind and gentle person who cares for others, I’d include animals in this. His level of consideration and detail is above average. Blessings Rick

Safety, trust & environment

In client’s homes, I would remain neat and tidy, as I do in my home. The dog would receive all my love. Lots of hugs and snuggles. They would get more frequent walks, and occasional hair combing. It is my experience that unconditional positive regard is beneficial to both dogs, and the kids I work with.

Information Rishi R. would like to know about your pet

Just let me know ahead of time if the dog has any trust/comfort delays that require some sitting time before interacting. I have lots of experience with abused dogs, in shelters I visit. It required sitting with the dog for hours in some cases, before they were comfortable interacting.

A typical day

We start with a good long walk; an empty bladder/colon is a happy one. Upon return, some time would be spent playing in the yard. If fenced: fetch and running around. If not: activities that can be performed on a leash. This would be followed by a good 5-10 minute scratch and rub down. If the stay is longer, I find it nice to read aloud to dogs as oppose to just turning the TV on. Then some daily grooming is in order.

I am a physician in my pediatric residency. I do not have the time to own a dog; some shifts are 24-36 hours straight. I do have a good amount of free time, spent reading, TV, or socializing. Dogs are my love. I can not wait to have the time to have one. Until then..
