Pet care experience
I have been pet-sitting for family and friends since I was a child-everything from dogs and cats to birds and reptiles, and everything in between. I currently have one indoor cat, 4 outdoor cats, a dog and a gecko. I am passionate about animal welfare and safety, and I do my best to do what I can for every animal I cross paths with, from a stray to the 9 raccoons living in my backyard. I have experience with long-term house sitting for families with senior and disabled animals.

Riley did a great job taking care of our 4 month old puppy, Ghost, over a long weekend! It was our first time leaving him and we were very nervous, but Riley made the whole trip stress free. Ghost got lots of exercise and love and we got frequent updates with cute pictures throughout the day! I couldn’t recommend her enough and we have already asked her to come back!
Riley is an exceptional dog sitter! She provided updates throughout the day so there was never a time that I didn’t know how Lani was doing and she adhered to our care instructions. We came back to a very happy and contented dog. I will certainly use Riley again for any dog sitting needs.
Riley was great and took excellent care of Piper. Riley was punctual, communicative, and caring - it was clear that my pup was in great hands.
Wow! All I can say is Riley is AMAZING with animals! She took the most amazing care of my dog while we were out of town. I feel really grateful that I found her on Rover because she felt like family with us. she went above and beyond the way she took care of my sweet Sera while we were away for a week. I highly highly recommend Riley to anyone! She was consistently in touch with us every step of the way from before we even met her until after we came back. She would send us photos and texts daily throughout the day to keep us informed on how she was doing which made us feel so at peace and able to enjoy our trip. She even crocheted my dog a toy 🥹. I feel like I’m not even sure my dog was happy we were home or depressed she didn’t have Riley around to take the most amazing care of her everyday. Riley is such a Gem!

I pride myself in being diligent and observant, and I’m not afraid to stand my ground if confronted by any unwanted behavior from another pet or their owner. If your animal has any dietary or medical needs, or is on the shy/less active side, I am happy to accommodate and make sure they are as happy and comfortable as possible. I am active, and love going for long walks and playing, and can handle more than one animal at a time.

A typical day
I love to go for long walks and jogs, and if your pet is good with other animals we can go to the dog park or beach. I believe mental stimulation is just as important as physical, so I can keep up with training exercises that might be part of your regular routine, or we can do puzzles for treats!
