Hi! My name is Riley and I have been a pet owner and foster parent for a local shelter for several years. I am also vaccinated + boosted against COVID-19. I have been pet-sitting as my full time job for the last 3 years, and I have at least 12 years of experience with many types of animals from owning pets and fostering cats and dogs. I am currently a full-time graduate student, but most of my work is online. My boyfriend, Will, typically comes with me to overnight house sittings to help with potty breaks and give lots of extra pets and play time! Housesitting is my most popular service, so I have plenty of experience staying in and taking care of clients’ homes while they’re away. Pet care is the priority but the home is part of the deal! I’m something of a neat freak and try to leave everything better than I found it. I am happy to care for senior and special needs animals- I have experience administering both oral and injectable medications to dogs and cats. I am comfortable around any/all breeds and sizes of dog 🐶 I definitely understand that every pet is different and always aim to understand and meet their needs however possible. I can't wait to meet your pet! *Please note that I have amended my house sitting policy: If your pet cannot be left alone for more than 4 hours during the day time, there is an additional $50 fee per day. This is considered my "constant care" rate for pets that may need some extra attention. Thank you for your understanding!

Information Riley H. would like to know about your pet
For dogs, I like to know about health conditions, medications, general energy levels, and what to expect in their daily routine (i.e. when will they wake up in the morning?) . Even all the details you think are silly/over the top! For cats, I believe routine is just as important. I know some kitties are very sensitive to anything “off” in their day, especially a stranger in the house, so I want to make sure your cat is relaxed and happy as can be!
A typical day
All pets have differing energy levels so I try to adapt play time/exercise time to reflect that. I love going on a nice walk around a park or playing tug of war inside. I want to follow your pet's routine as closely as possible to make sure they are comfortable and happy during our stay.

Availability
My schedule varies week to week, so drop ins for dogs with consistent potty times are not the best fit for me! I appreciate any flexibility that is available. Otherwise, I can be pretty accommodating!
