Pet care experience
Please read the entirety of my profile before reaching out with a booking request - I try to answer as many of my most asked questions here. I just graduated from University of Idaho in Spring 2022 with my degree in Marketing. I did Rover my last 2 years of school in Moscow, Idaho and have been doing Rover here in Boise since I moved in May 2022. Prior to my time with Rover, I had grown up around a lot of animals. My mom was allergic to cats and dogs, so we had everything from parakeets, frogs, a turtle, chickens, hamsters (what kid doesn’t), and even a couple outdoor cats, growing up. I also volunteered at the Boise Zoo all through middle and high school, working with all kinds of animals (snakes, penguins, hedgehogs, insects, etc.), so to say my animal care experience is vast, would be an understatement. I was actually introduced to Rover as a kid. One of my best friends moms did Rover and would often take us on jobs with her. Amidst the pandemic, I worked from home, and found myself needing something that would get me out of the house and encourage me to be more active, and that’s when I turned to Rover. Through Rover, my experience with animal care has only grown. I’ve worked with all sorts of animals, with all sorts of behaviors. I found my niche in Moscow was working with dogs who had behavioral issues when around other dogs. As I didn’t have a dog of my own, it was easy to care for these dogs as there was no concern as to whether or not they’d have to be around another dog. I also worked with a large number of senior dogs, as well as dogs with special needs. Since moving to Boise, I’ve actually worked with a lot of puppies (how cute!), which has expanded my experience level there as well. In short, I have experience with all kinds of pets, and am more than comfortable providing medications and furthering any sorts of training your pet is already working on. That all being said, the only thing I don’t have experience with would be administering medication via needle, not that I am at all opposed to learning.
Reviews
Rileigh is so sweet! My dog loves going to stay while we are away. He gets lots of love and walks. We also get daily pics and texts about how our doggo is doing. :)
Rileigh has been an awesome dog sitter for us! We have a very shy dog who has trouble with new people, but we never had a problem with Rileigh. 10/10 recommend!
Rileigh has house sat for us twice and done a great job. Our dogs are always happy when we return and she keeps in communication with us through the whole stay. We recommend her and plan to book with her in the future.
Rileigh did so great taking care of our dogs!! One of of our babies gets very nervous around new people, but Rileigh was still able to take her on a walk. Thank you so much!!

I think it’s really important to make the most of your time with an animal, and leave their environment better than you found it. I’m very attentive to detail and want all of my clients to come home happy, and to a happy pet!
Information Rileigh S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any advanced needs the dog may have (I.e. needs medication, has a condition, etc.). I’d prefer to know if there are any areas in which the dog should not be within the house, and whether you’re comfortable with walks.
A typical day
When you’re time is limited with a dog it’s really important you make the most of it! I love playing fetch and tug, and I have multiple apps on my phone that show me where there are nearby dog friendly trails. It’s important to work off their extra energy, and show them some love!

I work full-time as the manager of an auto parts store in west Boise. This leaves me with a fairly set schedule of Monday-Friday 6am-4:30pm, with an hour lunch each day. That being said, I do live with my sister who often helps me with Rover jobs (provided you’ve approved such first), so if you’re looking for someone who can provide check-ins during my work hours, feel free to reach out and I’d be happy to arrange something involving the both of us. She too worked as a volunteer for the Boise Zoo for many years, and grew up in the same household full of various animals. She and I have 2 cats in our own home, and are both passionate animal lovers. I am more than willing to provide check-ins before and after work, and depending on your proximity to my work, I am more than willing to come by on my lunch as well.
