Pet care experience
I grew up on a farm surrounded by all kind of animals and always had at least one dog accompany me on my walk through life. As a kid it were manly big dogs like german shepherds or labradors (or a good old country side mixed breed). And ever since living in Berlin (for more than 10 years) I've also gathered lots of experience having smaller breeds like toy poodle or terrier. What I can say for sure is that I love them all and I am extremely caring, reliable, and responsible.
Reviews
I regularly leave my border collie poncho with Rico when I go on vacation or business trips. Rico is very flexible, caring and knows how to read a dog’s body language. Poncho is a shelter dog and can get anxious when there is too much stuff happening around him and he doesn’t feel comfortable but with Rico he feels well protected and likes to play with him in a park or go on walks. Rico follows the feeding routine precisely and makes sure Poncho feels as comfortable and loved as in his real home.
Rico frequently takes care of our dog Emma, a terrier mix with lots of energy. Emma loves Rico and they've become close friends, she is always excited to stay with Rico in his dog-friendly apartment in Prenzlauer Berg. Rico takes her out on long walks and to a close by park where lots of dogs from the neighbourhood come to meet. At his place Emma feels comfortable as she can stay close to Rico in the living space while he is working from home.

Your dog will have a great time at my place and with me, my apartment is big enough with a long corridor for playing and running and a balcony with lots of direct sun. Your dog will sleep in the living room and won't be allowed in the kitchen or bathroom.

A typical day
I will take dogs on regular walks every 2-4 hours and one trip to a park with a dog area per day. On weekends I love to explore the nature in and around Berlin/Brandenburg, drive with my car to a lake or forest and go on hikes.

I am flexible and have a hybrid work setting. There is a park just 5 mins from my home and I have a car so I can even drive out of the city into the nature on weekends.
