I grew up around dogs and horses. My 115 pound Akita recently passed away after 11 wonderful years. My house has a good-sized, fenced yard and a large doggie door for easy yard access. My house is dog safe and comfortable for dogs of all sizes The local neighborhood has many places for walks with gentle rolling hills and lots of places to sniff and explore. I'm used to dogs making themselves at home and lounging on the furniture and bed. I've been around dogs of all breeds and sizes. After owning my Akita, I'm quite comfortable with large dogs. I recently retired and do some work from home so home during the day to care for a dog and take multiple walks if needed.
