Pet care experience
By 7 years old I thought for sure I’d own a doggie hotel when I grew up. By 12 yrs old, I was certain I’d be a veterinarian. But… after loving and then having to say goodbye to a few of my beloved pets who lived way longer than anyone thought was possible, I realized I wanted to enjoy pets…not see them in pain. By 22, I was living on a CA farm, taking care of dogs, cats, horses, goats, chickens, sheep, you name it! By 25 I was working at a youth camp, teaching kids how to build deep friendships with rabbits, baby ducklings, puppies, kittens and piglets. Now, in my late 30’s, and what can I say? I’m a true animal-person and always have been. I have 3 monkeys…I mean, sons, 50% of the time who are taking right after their momma with a massive love to serve animals with care and friendship.

I have a large, fenced in deck as well as a partially fenced in yard with a secure leash rope option. I have my bff, Joey who is a 6 yr old, neutered Dachshund who loves interacting with other dogs and is highly intelligent, crate trained and not overly territorial. He’s excited to met your pet!

A typical day
Tell me your routine, let’s do it! Otherwise, coffee for me, cuddles for you in the morning on my oversized couch while I gather my thoughts for the day. Time for you to go outside in the yard to do your business. Late morning is a great time for a game with your favorite toy. Let’s have a few minutes of fun and be silly! By lunchtime, it’s nice for me to answer emails on the deck while it’s also a perfect spot for an after lunch rest in the sun. By late afternoon, let’s go for a 20 minute walk! We live 25 steps from a beautiful tree-lined walking trail that my dog, Joey would love to show you around. He knows all the best smelling spots. We will keep your water and food bowls full (or as requested) and the day will be filled with kind tones from me, an eager new friend, Joey and an overall calm but wonderful day!

Availability
I work from home M-F with occasional meetings at coffee shops so I’m able to give all-day care with walks throughout the day in my beautiful, family neighborhood. My kids are with their dad every Wed/Thurs and some weekends so it creates two different dynamics I can offer. With or without kids. Both with lots of attention, walks and play for your furry best friend.
